Just left a job of 3 years where I couldn't grow any facial hair at all. Now I'm about 2 weeks in and just having a nice shadow is awesome. This guy has almost the exact look I want with the full on mustache and full beard, I'm lucky enough to have a full face of hair so I can't wait to see what It looks like in a few months. Thanks for the inspiration!

I love Beardbrand, I have used oils for a few years and I will say this. They aren't the cheapest but pound for pound quality and price, you never worry about the price of the quality is there. The ingredients in it are top notch. Just remember guys you get out what you put in. Stay away from oils and balms that have harmful ingredients as silicones and such where they will strip and dry out the beard! Beard On guys

Totally agree! IDK how many times I've gone to trim and just hated myself for it. though I've trimmed and like it before . its almost impossible to keep it the same once you get it where you like it. if you have an electric trimmer only hit that bush when its short! once its as long as your longest attachment just don't touch it. oil and wax are two things i endorse! ;)

I'd say the last tip should be the only, if not most important tip for growing a beard. Don't overthink it and don't put too much effort into it. I've done a yeard, a 3 month beard and now I'm back at a 4 month beard length. I get this question every time: "wow, what do you do to your beard to make it look like that?" and the answer is: not much. I find other people to be more obsessed by my beard than I am. I barely even notice it's there anymore as time goes by. In the end it's just hair, growing on your face, like it should.
@thecowboy9698

I have been bearded for almost 10 years, and I absolutely love it. I can never imagine myself clean shaven again. I have worn my beard at different lengths, and am currently growing it out from a 9mm to a 20mm - which is about two months of growth. I tend to like my beard thicker, as in the summer it actually keeps my face protected from the sun in the summer time, and also keeps my face cooler as well, which I know might sound strange, but it's true.

Mine was patchy, not too patchy, sort of like Keanu Reeves' beard, but I shaved it because of a job interview. When I went there, I saw a guy with a short stubble-ish beard working there. But now I'm growing it again so all good. No I didn't get the job because the chef said the wrong day for me to come in and that it was sooner than the date he said. They also said that I was very shy, which I've been trying to fix for as long as I can remember, but oh well. I might find another place soon.

I wear clothes like Charlie on Two and a Half Men. I do this because of physical reasons due to the Vietnam War so don't ask for details. I do drink lots of water but I can not exercise. Hell, I can barely walk with a Walker. I have had a short well trimmed beard for 48+ of my nearly 70 years. My last years in the Navy were under the Command of Admiral Elmo Zumwalt. He allowed longer hair and beards for Sailors. Now, I've now decided to grow a very full long (but neat) beard. I no longer have three dogs, so I hope my long full beard will help keep me warm on that Three Dog Night when I only have Two Dogs.

Hardest thing to do is to NOT PLAY WITH IT. I've grown three long beards and this is by far the hardest part. Keep your hands off it and don't create the habit of stroking it or tugging on it. You'll pull out hairs from weak follicles that could recover and still hold on to those hairs you're pulling out.

Thanks for great vids brothers... I'm a bald guy and luving growing my beard right now and it's growing very full and very easily. I'm at the 'no don't trim it stage' and wondered if you have any beard bros who are also bald for bald bro beard advice? I so wish I had head hair my beard could be conjoined with it' looks so much better for guys.. Because the challenge as a bald guy with a beard are several.. 1. To fade off or to cut line where there's no hair to partner with? 2. Length and shape without looking like a garden gnome that's lost his hat? 3. Beard coloring to hide most of the grey when it's too early to be grey? I see some great beards on bald guys when you google image search but they all look like they are professionally trimmed and styled for the photo, even the Vikings dude... Which by the way is my ideal type beard with the shaved/bald head👍 Thanks heaps from Aussie beard bro you guys rock👍

could you guys do a quick segment on the difference between brushing your beard and not brushing it and how it will grow once it's trained versus not trained. I've always combed my beard straight but I've noticed that the hair has natural tendencies and I'm curious what the beard would look like if I just let it do its thing instead of training it to be straight. If you guys have any input or thoughts on that, I'd be interested to know.

It's almost been 2 weeks since I stopped shaving and my beards starting to fill in pretty well (I come from a line of extremely hairy men hahaha), but my mustache never grows in the center piece right in that dip area . Any advice on how to get that area up to speed? Great video ✌
@Beardbrand
8 жыл бұрын
+Joshua Du Plessis Hey Joshua, thanks for writing! Couple things to keep in mind - first of all, you're still a young dude. For most of us (myself included) our facial hair doesn't full develop and fill in until our early to mid 20's, so just be patient and give yourself a bit of time. Secondly, the lip area - both upper and lower - are a very unique section of your beard. A lot of us (again, myself included) will actually find that we have two spots on the left and right side under our lower lip that doesn't grow hair. This happens for some guys, and others like Jeff, have full coverage under the lower lip. Your mustache situation could be the same: it might be as simple as this being an area that is unique to you and has a unique growth pattern where the dip area will be a little thinner. It's hard to tell for sure now because you're still young and have some time to go until your beard is at maximum maturity, so really right now if you're growing a pretty healthy dense beard at 18, I'd say grow it, rock it, and enjoy it as you move into your 20's and watch it continually evolve and develop! -Zach

Awesome video, bro. I wish I would've watched this before trying to trim mine. lol. Are you saying leave the neckline alone as well?

Generally we suggest keeping the neckline trimmed and shaped regardless of how long you grow your beard - helps keep things look neat and well-kept. -Zach

+Jeffrey Buoncristiano I have uneven growth in my hairs as I start my beard...not bald spots or patchiness....just some hairs are really outgrowing others. So your advice is to not cut ANY hairs and eventually they will all catch up with each other? Is that what you mean by saying NO to trimming?
