We're obviously aware of and deeply concerned about the global pandemic, and are choosing carefully what to publish as forms of escapism and entertainment to help ease thoughts of anxiety, and provide an alternative from the news. We are obviously NOT encouraging anyone to travel now or discouraging social distancing. Ready to imagine your first trip in a new world?

Romania is still a 'hidden gem' compared to most countries with so much natural and historical beauty in Europe. Amazing mountains, monasteries, castles, the Danube delta, Black Sea and medieval old towns beg to be explored. It's the crossroads of Central, Southern and Eastern Europe and that can be seen and felt everywhere. The food is amazing too, with Turkish and Central European influences.

I agree. The only time It felt really overcrowded was when we visited Bran Castle. I think we Saw more tourists in that one place than in the rest of the country altogether. The churches were amazing, amongst the most beatifull orthodox churches i've seen in my life. The scenery was breathtaking and the food pleasantly surprising.

277k annual visitors is huge for a place like Ladakh. The fact that more than half of these visitors come within a 4 month window makes it all the more stressful for a delicate ecosystem like Ladakh. Places like Spiti and Ladakh must not get much popularity else overtourism will completely destroy them.

i'll be visiting Taiwan for the third time in my life once this is all over. It's one of the few countries that fared really well in this pandemic, despite being so close to China. No lockdown whatsoever and medical system functioning excellently. A lot of the western media have reported how Taiwan's diligence really saved them. It's relatively unknown compared to its neighbors, but it's got great mountains & beaches, vibrant cities, historical sites, amazing food, and really budget friendly.

It is very true. Travel businesses after this pandemic are going to need support but the reduction in travel has been a real positive for the environment. When we do all start traveling again please choose travel providers that are environmentally conscious and proactive at offsetting their carbon footprint. It is actually really easy for travel companies to do so. Here at Wild Stride we are part of the Mongolian Nomad project which as well as supporting local nomads and protecting their way of life also plants trees to slow the ever-growing Gobi desert and encourages sustainable grazing patterns. Every time we run a tour we calculate our carbon cost and donate to the project to balance our carbon footprint. There are projects like this all over the world and more travel companies need to start getting involved. So please when we are all free to explore the beauties of our world again please do your best to preserve them by choosing sustainable travel companies. Thank you :)

I would also suggest placing a list of countries that most likely will be open to all peoples being that many are closed. I would suggest the following hidden gems that are most likely going to be open to all tourists in 2021 and are politically stable not overrun with tourists and are safe: 1. Albania 2. Montenegro 3. Bosnia Herzegovina 4. Turkey 5. Macedonia 6.Cuba 7. Uzbekistan 8. Kazakhstan 9. Tunisia 10. Myanmar

Ladakh is not the disputed territory with Pakistan, POK in the Kashmir valley is a disputed one. Ladakh is a union territory as of now and completely safe. However, given that border dispute with China is on a rise right now, still the famous locations of Leh and Ladakh are quite accessible and safe for everyone. I can't say how much area is allowed by the government for foreigners to explore because of it's strategic location for India's defence against Chinese border, but it's mostly accessible for almost every Indian.
