Again, I am working very hard *not* to add more plugins ;) *However* if I were to get something from UA, it would be their take on the Lexicon 224 and maybe the Studer A800. Apparently, Vangelis was one of the earliest customers of the former and - according to one of the engineers who worked with him - it has a registry number of 0002.

As an UAD Ultimate user, i can say UAD has exceptionally good compressor and preamps. They are UAD top plugins. My top picks are: 1. LA2A Collection 2. Pultec Collection 3. SSL E 4. NEVE 1073/1084 5. API COLLECTION These are UAD's second-to-none plugins. they have best pultec, best la2a, best ssle, best neve and best api. In case of 1176, delays, and reverbs, i feel like other plugin makers also do pretty well.

Really great video, Sanjay. I would love to see more videos focused on plugins and their use in different applications (vocals, pianos, guitars, etc). I use VSTs for all my instruments, so I'd love to learn more on how to make them sound better, more full, and warmer. I also don't have the funds (or room) for hardware consoles, so it's nice to see that plugins can get really close to their hardware counterpart when it comes to mixing/mastering. Always look forward to your Saturday morning videos, and these midweek bonus videos are just icing on the cake! Have a great week, my friend.

These are some really solid choices! I love the character of the Hitsville Reverb, and use it much more than I thought I would. I am also a huge fan of the Brigade Chorus, sometimes with the Hitsville. The tape goes through just about all of my drums now, and the type determines which tape I use. Also, the Waterfall Rotary Speaker is also an unexpected surprise! Thanks for the tips! 🙏

Really cool video. Love the listening examples very much, especially Sanjay‘s voice, but honestly I couldn‘t afford the UA plugins although of course would like them. Who wouldn‘t. But I‘ve got many very good plugins, but unfortunately not a good voice. So at the moment I’m struggling quite a bit with getting my vocals sit right in the mix and sounding at least acceptable. That‘s not easy. Even the UA plugins can‘t work wonders in my case. Of course it has also got to do with the recording in a not treated surrounding which I must do everything myself. Looking forward to Saturday. 👍🏻
