Love your channel! A question... If you ended the channel right now, ended all obligations to anyone... What five games would you play? Not necessarily your Top 5 of All Time, but the first five you would play when your time is your own. Perhaps even with beer & pretzels (or haggis for Alexander).

@@grantkleinhenz6789 Thanks Grant. Glad to hear back from you. I think I could have made myself clearer. I was thinking that it would be helpful when introducing new people to board games, and then progressing them to a little more demanding game, to have a beginner suggestion. I've found that new people often want to play again, and then keep in the 'theme' of the first game when moving on to something new. I'm sad to say I don't have the budget or time to keep up with all the wonderful games out there. But I can enjoy them through your reviews. Appreciate what you do.

We have Nach Paris, unplayed, but we're doing another WWI event in August! Also, Paths of Glory, Lamps are Going Out, and Imperial Tide are all excellent, and are separated only by length to play. Not played Iron Storm. Attrition of Souls was very abstract but had really fun combat resolution. Did you see our Guns of August Wrap up? We talked about all of those together.

@@ThePlayersAid I saw it, had excellent take on attrition of souls and Paths of Glory but not the others (If I recall). Of course your channel catalouge is now quite large so I might just have missed all the talks. I just got the hunger for a direct comparison video as we now have such a smorgasboard of big ww1 games and it is so hard to pick! Even if going by play-time. LoL... Probably the reason that ’Zurmat' hasn't generated a ton of interest is because: - The cover looks like the front of my kitchen spice cabinet - What's up with the flower looking design in the center? - And what the hell does ”Zurmat" mean, anyway? :)

@@ThePlayersAid I know the information you provided is appreciated by many. But the true point behind (what I attempted to be a humorous comment) is that probably all blossoming wargamers, most casual wargamers, and I bet a significant number of hard-core grognrads don't know any of that. Combine that lack of understanding with the "judge the book by its cover" culture we live in today, and it's no wonder the game hasn't garnered the interest which otherwise should've been expected. I think you're correct in saying that a decent advertising/education campaign would've gone a long way toward mitigating much of those reasons. Finally, that the box cover looks like my kitchen spice cabinet is very fitting as I love the spices from that region of the world! So, that jives! :)
