Cold, half chewed, food scraped off of a cold plate with screeching forks directly into my mouth??? Obviously it doesn’t make up for the worst of things he’s done, but the level of personal, physical human specific disgust is so high that it almost feels more terrifying than the idea of multiverse destruction. Ok, I have to say something. In regards to your opening statement about Unity and Rick. Rick is far, far, far from being a Saint. But Unity is a freaking entity that absorbs the Free Will of whatever intelligent species Unity can. Whether or not they agree to it, let alone consent; more often than not it seems like they don't agree to being a hivemind. So, with that out the way, both Rick and Unity's hands aren't clean when it came to that orgy. Not defending Rick, just wanted to point that out.

One point I want to make. I do believe Rick made the Central finite curve for altruistic purposes. In season 7 we see how wild and chaotic it is outside the curve. When you discover that you can break through the multiverse somebody else has already discovered at the same time and kills and replaces the previous person over and over on loop since it's happening infinitely across infinity universes. Not to mention the monsters that live beyond the curve. In my opinion I think he created the curve to keep his family safe. To make amends for not being able to save his wife. To ensure that his grandkids won't accidentally get split open by another family discovering portal travel. It's wild and dangerous and deadly outside the curve. Before you say he doesn't care about summer and Morty, he absolutely does. On multiple occasions he has put his family's needs and desires over his own. He's a good guy even if he's a major asshole

We see what happens through Evil Morty, and also Rick commenting that "A cocky Morty is dangerous". We also see Jerry become the strongest man in the universe without a Beth to tie him down and Rick to stop him in the comics. He also becomes a literal god. Morty also goes full on Akira in the Death Crystal episode, holds his own fine in the Mr. NIMBUS episode, Morty isn't stupid, just held back. Rick really didn't lie in the pilot, whether or not he actually believed it at that point. Really neat contrast with the story developing.

People who call rick evil for serving spaghetti missed the entire point of that episode, it’s probably one of the more “meh” things rick has done, if we’ve eaten meat, we’ve eaten the spaghetti. I think the episode is nuanced in saying that we can’t stop humans from eating meat, but we should probably treat our animals better and not force them into factories. - the organic spaghetti was a person who lived a life and willingly decided to take it. - the “cheaper” spaghetti were things that were created to become spaghetti. Now compare that to hunting an animal, and breeding animals in factories to be slaughtered.

And other times when he can’t feel superior he then acts like nothing matters as a self defense mechanism and goes for what I’d call “non solutions” instead of wasting the time and energy to care to fix the actual problem.

my theory on the alien storage unit was that those were some aliens whom he needed to ensure their compliance he was holding them hostage with the same technovirus that he used on toxic morty as for the squirrels that was a story that morty wrote that was embarassingly bad. like he entered it in some contest or something. or maybe it was part of the story train? rick also said "pack your shit" but all his shit would be there in the new universe. I think there's more to the central finite curve than that. we saw in the rick prime vs evil morty episode there were like 3 jetson families who all invented portal travel and wound up killing each other. in true infinity portal travel and other things become messy.

My guess is Rick was burying people to the pet cemetery that comes up in a future episode. They bury benjamin Franklin covered in tinfoil to keep evil spirits out. This weirdly cooks thr body to perfection. And rick even was down to take a bite from it if morty didn't stop him. Feels like Salisbury steak comes from there.

Actually rick commoted double Omnicide, and also the sloth comparison wasnt accurate, competing them to early humans would be more accurate.

Keep in mind that rick wife and daughter died so he never had any grandchildren from Beth and even though he did spend time with them I don't think he too much attach to them. Rick and morty did move from universe a lot just saying.

I haven’t watched the show in a long time. My favorite episode was The Vindicators, though I also liked Jerry-Ree and Mr. MeSeeks as runner ups. The Vindicators pretty much expressed my super hero movie fatigue.

Does anyone find it weird that Rick Sanchez is so blatantly anti-fascist in the season 4 premiere, the same guy who built an entire universe inside his car battery with the sole purpose of generating power and he genocided two universes. Cut to the season 4 premiere, where Rick is stuck in a loop where every universe he’s revived in is pro-nazi. Rick is portrayed as extremely uncomfortable about this. He can’t even lie about being into fascist regimes to literally save his life, and gets killed numerous times as a result. At one point, Rick tries getting the upper hand on a Nazi Morty by ordering a Mr. Meeseeks to,b"Kill this nazi prick!". As if just breathing the same air of a nazi variant utterly disgusts him to his core. Really that whole analogy of comparing the fans who’s wanted classic Rick and Morty to literal nazi’s was such a pathetic move on Dan Harmon and the writers.
