I just started reading a Patrick Ness book... if I like it maybe I'll have to try his Monster book 🤗

I haven’t read anything else by Ness, but my sister tried to read one of his other books and bounced off hard. From what I understand, A Monster Calls is very different from any of his other books. I hope you enjoy the one your reading though as well. Thanks for watching!

Telling stories within stories is kind of like added poetry and other art forms in stories, it makes the world feel much more real. In fact, it's because of this that I find Wit in the Stormlight Archive to be what makes me feel for a moment that the world could be real. (the rest of Roshar takes away from this as opposed to Tolkien)

@@UniqueArtsCostcoPicasso agreed. It’s such a powerful writing/framing device and not used nearly enough. And while yeah, absolutely Roshar doesn’t feel like it could be real, I love how alien and imaginative it is. Thanks for watching!
