"The Qajar dynaty ruled Iran from the end of the eighteenth century to the early twentieth century. From a Turkic tribe in north east Iran, the great body of them had settled at Astarabad (present day Gorgan) near the south-eastern corner of the Caspian Sea. When Nader Shah Afshar died in 1747 with no living heirs, the Qajar tribal leaders were among the contenders for the throne. From the ensuing 50 year struggle one Aqa Mohammad Khan Qajar (c.1742-c.1797) emerged the undisputed ruler in 1794. He was crowned in 1796 and founded the dynasty.Aqa Mohammad Khan had been castrated in childhood by the enemies of his father and was one of the cruelest kings even by eighteenth-century Iranian standarts. In his quest for power he razed citiez, massacred entire populations, and in an act of singular cruelty blinded some 20,000 men in the city of Kerman solely because the local populace had chosen to defent the city against his siege.[1] He was, however, an extraordinary leader and the last of the great conquerors of Centrel Asia, basing his strength on tribal manpower in the mould of Cenghis Khan, Teimur (Tamerlane) 2and Nader Shah.[2] He is in many ways the initial architect of Iran as we know it today. The mere fact that the dynasty he founded and the country managed to survive into the twentieth century free of official colonial status says something of his abilities. As the matter of fact that Indo-Elamite Iranians themselves actually referred Safavids as Qizilbash Turks The state was known as the dawlat-i qizilbash , ‘the ordained rule of the redheads’, as mamlika (domain) and, like the ottoman empire, as ‘the pro tected domains (mamalik-i mahrusa)’. “The Safavids.” The History of Islamic Political Thought: From the Prophet to the Present, by ANTONY BLACK, NED - New edition, 2 ed., Edinburgh University Press, Edinburgh, 2011, pp. 223-239. The early Safavid state was often referred to by contemporary Iranian chroniclers as 'the Qizilbash kingdom', because of the dominance of the Qizilbash tribes and their chiefs. David BLOW. Shah Abbas: the Ruthless King who became an Iranian Legend. London: I.B. Tauris, 2009. xiv + 274 pp., ill., pbk. ISBN: 978-1-84511- 989-8. It was burdened with dangers and difficulties, but worst of all “ torn by Qizilbash faction ” ( as R. Savory puts it . ) As a matter of fact , one of the first things which ' Abbās did was to destroy the power of the Qizilbash , who considered themselves the lawful rulers of the state , 31 which they called in its early establishment , Dawlat - i Qizilbash (The Qizilbash State). ISBN 978-0-14-196655-7. The ethnicity of Turkish slaves, the earliest generation of whom dated to the Ghurid invasions of India, survived well into the thirteenth century. For a time, even Persian-speaking secretaries had to master Turkish in order to function. There persisted, more-over, deep cultural tensions between native Persian-speakers - whether from Iran, Khurasan or Central Asia - and ethnic Turks. Nizam al-Din Auliya (d. 1325), Delhi's renowned Sufi shaikh, characterized Turks as rude, bellicose and vain, reflecting a view, prevalent among many native Persians of the day, that Turks were uncultured boors who had illegitimately monopolized power and privilege. Such animosities were amplified by the asymmetrical power relations between ethnic Turks and Persians, often depicted in the literature as 'men of the sword' and 'men of the pen' respectively.

This essay examines Nader Shah Afshar's attempts to legitimize his rule by dint of his Turkic background. Over the course of his rise to power and reign, Nader consistently argued that his Afshar and Turkman affiliations granted him the right to rule over Iranian territory as an equal to his Ottoman, Mughal, and Central Asian contemporaries. Aided by his chief secretary and court historian, Mīrzā Mahdī Astarābādī, Nader's assertions paralleled those found in popular narratives about the history of Oghuz Turks in Islamic lands. This element of Nader's political identity is often overlooked by historians because it did not outlive the brief Afsharid period, but it demonstrates how the Safavid collapse led to the circulation of dynamic new claims to Iranian and Islamic political power. It might have been expected that these different ruling dynasties, Ghaznavid, Qarakhanid, and Seljuq, would have brought a new lingua-franca to the Middle East in the eleventh century. They did, after all, speak mutually intelligible forms of Turkic; and this was the beginning of what would turn into almost a millennium of Turkish rule, as witness the Arabic proverb cited by the North African analytic historian Ibn Khaldun of the fourteenth century: dawlah 'ind al-turk, din 'ind al-'arab wa adab 'ind al-furs Power (rests) with the Turk, religion with the Arab, and culture with the Persian.

We must consider the fact that, from about 977 until 1925, hence for about 1,000 years, Turkish (and Mongolian) dynasties reigned over Iran. The Turkish vocabulary in Persian belongs preponderantly to the fields of government ate, law, army, warfare, armaments, and booty. Turkish was the language of the soldiers and the court. While the court of Delhi, i.e., the Turkish court of India, spoke Persian, the official language of the Safavi court (six teenth century onward) was Azerbaijan Turkish, so that Kaempfer¹⁹ remarked in 1685 "ut pene nunc turpe sit in Persiâ viro alicujus nominis ignorare Turcicam . . . ita ab exteris diligitur quae in ipsâ patriâ sordet magnatibus," "that it is almost ugly in Persia for a man of any renown to ignore Turkish, and so that [the Persian language] is esteemed abroad which in its own country is despised by the noble men." Many aristocratic titles were Turkish, just as the English titles Hovannisian, R. and Sabagh, G., 1998. The Persian presence in the Islamic world. Cambridge: Cambridge University Press, p.240.

Persian means Iranian in western history Seljuqs, Ghaznavids, Khwarazmshahs, Safavids, Qajar were all Iranian, their culture and civilization was Iranian and Islamic. Parthian?!!! you are so cute Are the Parthians Zoroastrian Turks?! Are the Parthians Turks who did not speak Turkish thousands of years ago?! For God's sake, use your mind Europeans used the name Persia for Iran because of the writings of past historians like Herdot When they say that the Seljuks and Safavids are Persian, it refers to Iranian nationality, not their race and ethnicity Seljuks, Safavids and Qajars and.... Their religion is Islam Their ethnicity and race are Turks and some other races And their nation, country and people were Iran

The Qājār dynasty, descended from a tribe whose early traces in Iran date to the eleventh century, held the reins of power until 1925. Much like the Safavids, they were Turkmen and spoke Turkish: their ethnic group of about 10,000 people led a nomadic life in northern Iran when it conquered the principalities that had fought over the Iranian plateau after the death of Nāder Shāh (1747). Être fort comme un Turc (‘to be strong like a turk’): This expression originates in the 15th century when the Turks had a reputation for being strong, almost unbeatable warriors due to their numerous victories. At the time, the Ottoman Empire ruled large parts of south-east Europe, north Africa and western Asia. It is said that François I, King of France, was gifted Turkish armour by Suleiman the Magnificent (the tenth and most famous sultan of the Ottoman Empire) during their alliance. When he wore it, he is said to have exclaimed: “Here I am now, strong as a Turk!”. How about expressions about Poorsians or Lurs being strong? NOWHERE TO BE FOUND LOL🤣🤣🤣

In contrast to those Iranian officials who claim that the Turks in Iran were actually originally Persians, the late IRGC Commander Qassem Suleimani claimed that the descendants of Turkic dynasties that live in Iran are not Iranian.

Let’s compare history battle vs battle 2 famous battle in Islamic history the Second Battle of Tarain vs Battle of Ain Jalut Muhammad of Ghor best victory vs Baibars best victory both among the best general in Islamic history but the argument is joke the Second Battle of Tarain is way better victory not only Muhammad of Ghor was heavy outnumbered and beat a great warrior like Prithviraj Chauhan but the battle successfully penetration in north Indian plain Muhammad Ghuri conquers much of north-west India including Delhi and he was the reason that the Chahamanas of Shakambhari dynasty fall so he completely ended the state under there best ruler or he finish the war vs them in Battle of Ain Jalut Baibars was not outnumbered or he didn’t end the war vs Mongols so the argument is joke the Second Battle of Tarain is way more impressive Baibars didn’t even conquered one real state or Empire all is life

Suleimani claimed: "Turks are aliens and non-Iranians. For hundreds of years (during Turkic rule in Iran), Iran had no history. Non- Iranians like the Seljuks invaded and ruled Iran."74 Shaffer, B. (2023) Iran is more than persia: Ethnic politics in Iran. Berlin: De Gruyter.

Homa Katouzian, "Iranian history and politics", Published by Routledge, 2003. p. 128: "Indeed, since the formation of the Ghaznavids state in the tenth century until the fall of Qajars at the beginning of the twentieth century, most parts of the Iranian cultural regions were ruled by Turkic-speaking dynasties most of the time.
