One time about 4 years ago, Rikishi came to my hometown and did a promotion show for his wrestling school. I stayed after the show and asked to take down the ring. They said yes and asked if I had ever done wrestling before because of how I interacted with the wrestlers when they came towards the crowd. I said no and that I was just a huge fan and knew the rules hahah. Anyway, long story short they asked if I wanted to get in the ring and try some moves before we took it down. Eagerly I jumped into the ring and man was it fun. They taught me a lot and I was so sore the next day from all the slams and tosses they taught me hahah. I even got to jump on the top rope which was so much fun. Unfortunately I didn't have the money at the time to join the school they were promoting, also it's about a 5 hour drive from where I live. Hopefully one day I can join up and maybe they will remember me lol

@ABHISHEKYADAV-ne3eq
3 жыл бұрын
@Calamity Come on man over muscle memory is a thing called 'Reflex Arc' which took time to develop & evolve in humans & other beings as well; it involves no brain function, like withdrawing your hands from hot objects, watering of mouth on getting smell of food. And instinctive actions involve some level of consciousness that's why even under threatening conditions we undermine our instinct for better good like an army recruit with loaded rifle being humiliated by trainer; gets angry & thinks of killing him but refrains or people on hunger strikes dying of hunger, in this case 'eating' is the instinct which is suppressed (Read about one of the gems of my country: Jatindra Nath Das). Even Reflex Arc can be overcome like if someone has to save his child from hot splashed water from a fallen vessel then he will try to take the hot water on his/her hands; acting according to reflex the person should move away but the brain sets the priority; & not only impulse but even reflex takes a back seat & what if a father hits a boxer child then where goes the muscle memory. And in the video people were on camera so players had to "show off" & also satisfy their "ego" which is clearly evident in every case & especially in the case of of WWE player "The Great Khali", who is saying after hitting the man "Kaun sa angle bana ye" which translates "Which angle is formed now" because man was telling him about 'angle' related to I think stunt or whatever. And other player who was enraged on the question of the game being fake hadn't dare to hit if the question had been asked by a Policeman because everyone knows who are those 'exclusive coverage' type reporters are. So in the end; think smart act smart don't enrage someones ego and I was saying boxer has to just dodge the punches; go to @03:44 the boy is literally hitting hard the player & he does no harm to him. So you are just vaguely trying to prove your point. It's real world bro not just Mortal Kombat where everything ends with a K.O.

There is still a technique to it where it's not as damaging as it looks. Yes, it still probably hurts like hell, but most of it really is scripted and the other fighter knows what's coming and how to safely mitigate most of the damage. In your example, you can see that the backflip guy softened the impact by bending his knees and his opponent absorbed a lot of the impact with his arms at the last minute. It's all smoke and mirrors...like the performers/jugglers with the illusion ball things where the balls appear to float etc.

*I watched John Stossel get hit live on tv when I was a kid* . It might seem silly nowadays, but at the time the WWF was a HUGE deal. It was a common thing for people to argue whether or not it was "fake". Stossel was the person responsible for finally exposing the actual tricks they used like the now infamous razer blade to the forehead stunt to make it look like the wrestler was bleeding from head blows. That wrestler attacking him did not go over well and most of the public thought it brutish and evidence that Stossel was right. Wrestling was never the same after that. Apparently Stossel got a $450,000 settlement for the assault. After the bully instructor picked on some guys who had never really had much fighting background, he challenged any recruit to try and last 30 seconds with him. Well Dean the young soldier to be volunteered and after about 5 seconds the instructor realized he was fucked and fucked real good, after the instructor took a cheap shot, Dean went into little man beast mode. He dislocated the instructors elbow , chocked him out and made him piss himself. Dean stood up and confidently said "any Dick can fight, but not everyone can fight well" when the other course instructors walked into seeing the instructor our cold they asked what happened and Dean said, he asked anyone to fight him for 30 seconds and Dean than said he only lasted 21 seconds... true story

Back in the days when, well, you know, I was younger and stupid, I use to slap people when there was brawl. It was a strategy of mine, and it was psychological as well, not just fiscal component to it. The slap emberes you, and if you place it right, it can knock you out. People just dont understand that a nicely thrown slap is a madafaka. Standard question 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Used to do backyard wrestling when I was younger with plywood, chairs and tables all that. Even pulling punches and holding back, the hits have to land efficiently and effectively enough to look realistic and getting thrown whether on a mat, mattress or the ground tends to hurt even if you do know how to take a bump. Storylines are fake but the physical effects and risks are very real. I still have a disk that is rotated a couple degrees the wrong way that pinches a nerve in my back sometimes (I go to a chiropractor) . All from being a stupid kid!

@edi9892
3 жыл бұрын
@@markmark5269 It's more complicated than this. AFAIK, it's the kinetic energy, you have to worry about. The mass usually makes already the difference, but some people can kick or slap at insane speeds and speed goes in by v^2. Mass is even more important when it comes to withstanding impact and wrestling. I've seen a chubby woman ragdolling a skinny man and I can push around pretty much anyone on the mat because I'm nearly 7ft tall. The funny thing is that I'm built like slenderman and while I can slap so fast that my hand hurts just from the G-forces, I could never hit someone like this unless I sacrifice my hand. When it comes to wrestling, my long limbs are quite a disadvantage against anyone reasonably strong and tall. BTW: most people overestimate their punches. Sure, they can hit hard and fast, but if they do it for real, they don't because their instinct prevents it. The alternative are broken bones! Just look at amateurs punching heavy bags. They always hurt themselves. Always.

No, it doesn't get blurry until you're about to pass out. Also, your throat doesn't hurt, it just feels uncomfortable. You slump for maybe 10 seconds or longer. Your eyes tear up, it's hard to breath, and all it takes is enough pressure to cut oxygen and you're locked in. It's like drinking a lot and passing out. You don't feel much of anything after, and honestly you might even feel a little refreshed. The painful part is when you're being choked. When you're being choked, it's not like I'm the movies. You're not out for very long unless they put you in coma.

I met Silva years ago on a beach while he was working out. I didn't know who he was or even the first thing about fighting, I just talked to him because what he was doing looked more interesting than whatever I was up to that day. He was really nice, I would probably not be as polite if somebody disrupted my workout for no reason other than that they are bored. Later that year I saw him on TV fighting in the Octagon and it blew my mind. When I met him he was only doing the MMA equivalent to a boxer's legwork, jogging and punching as well as ducking exercises under a bar on the beach. Silva is tall but he can bend over backwards and still duck a bar at hip height at speed. His nickname is deserved and anyone willingly taking leg kicks from him should probably reevaluate their life decisions.
