omg the Boglins just unlocked an old memory! When I was really little, probably around 8 or so, me and my sister went on a treasure hunt my papa set up. At the end, we found a big treasure chest full of toys and cheap jewelry. Inside two medium sized jewelry boxes were some Boglins stuffed inside, and it made me jump in surprise! Man…that was such an awesome memory with my amazing papa ;w;

As a kid, I liked the wind-up robots -- I would build intricate spaceships for them out of plastic and cardboard with a pull away top to see inside.

'Digger' is the dog I remember here in the UK, the rest I have never seen before as they must all be from the USA. Always good to look back at the toys we had as kids. Thank you, Don. Charles in the UK

I had the Zero-M Bazooka ! That thing was fricking awesome! I would shoot at the bats around our street light and they would fly back like 5 feet. It didn't hurt them, just made the go to another street light. :)

OMG I loved my Hugo! I don’t know how, but I spent hours with that thing. Yes, it came with like a glue stick before glue sticks were used in school. Knowing my Mom, that’s still in a box in her basement. (I’m 56)

Hey, I've been a long time listener and a beginner and eBay fairly newbie. I made a killing on your recommendation on miniature books! Went to an auction two weeks after you posted that video and they had a collection of 175 books fairly new still vintage purchase them for $60 sold for about $800 plus shipping. My girlfriend thought I was crazy for buying them but then I told her you said it's a good thing. I don't think she will ever doubt what you have to say again. Back to subject matter, I have a Mr peanut hand crank peanut butter making machine plastic. How do I list it on eBay? Would really appreciate your input. Have the box but it has some writing on it and some tape and tape marks so not in pristine condition by any means. It was my toy and I was born in 1965 Don't remember when I got it but I was a young child. PS I used to love the peanut butter I made out of it.

Hugo is interesting, because, to me, this resembles both those ever-present Barbie hairstyling head and Mr. Potato Head, but the apparent spy disguise premise and the number of included and homemade options make him more imaginative than both. As fashion doll lines evolve, we're getting more Barbie-style dolls that function like a blank human template this way, like basic mannequins some of which can even be made male or female. I like how this suggests a kind of play where kids mix toys and other objects and make their toys whatever they want and need them to be.

I used to have a battery powered "remote control" dog that had the same controller with colorful buttons as one of those robot toys. It was very cute, and it walked on it's hind legs, barked, and rang a bell. I loved that thing! When I was in 1st grade, it disappeared while I was at school and my mom told me he ran away. 😭 She disappeared several toys I loved. My Lite Brite set only lasted about a week before it went missing. Not sure what her problem was with that, it was a quiet toy that kept me occupied.

That’s sad about your disappearing toys, especially the Lite Brite! It was one of my favorites! It must have been all those tiny pegs that your mom hated. They probably tore up her vacuum cleaner! 😉 Anyway, go get yourself one now, they still make them! 😊

I had Hugo Man of a Thousand Faces. As I remember the 'glue' was petroleum jelly. There was many a day when I walked around with one of his fake scars stuck to my face. Unfortunately my dear mum gave him to a rumble sale when I was 15 (she thought I was too old for him). I was devastated as I had his box and all his pieces. One day I will buy him again. :)

@@TheAuctionProfessor 😂I may have tried that also. I remember a large glue stick that came with it, almost like the old "stick'm" used by the NFL back in the day. I think I chased my little sister around the house with him. After that novelty wore off, I believe he was sold in a garage sale for 25 cents
