I hate when people use Warren Buffet as the gold standard. That dude spent tens of millions of dollars on lobbying congress to create rules that eliminated his competition. He didn't become a billionaire from investing in mutual funds, stocks or index funds.

Great short! Not totally into these index funds, they appear to offer low return with dividends but otherwise great tips! The negativity sells section is very accurate, appreciate that!

Personally, I mostly invest in real estate, but for the average person index funds are going to do way better than trying to pick your own stocks

@@GabeBult That's fair! I think it's definitely low risk and it's likely easier. I've done a fair share of research on stocks so I currently invest in a mix of different individual and index fund stocks. I wish I were in America, but I am Canadian so I usually avoid American index funds. Otherwise I'd invest in them. Real estate would be cool! I don't have nearly as much capital to start with real estate but maybe another day haha. Thanks for the reply, dude!

Love your short review! But 20 years to become a millionaire (Buffet) is a long way to go. Everyone wants to “get rich fast” 😅😅😅

There's no such thing as getting rich fast unless you're lucky and win the lotto. True wealth is built over many years by making smart choices in the present moment, just like Warren did.

@@alischaa4057 If you wanna learn about money and stuff, start watching youtubers that make personal finance content..even better if the youtuber is a finance professional.. 2nd way to learn this money stuff is to read books like Psychology of money, there's actually alot of personal finance/stock investing books out there If you wanna have very deep knowledge about money, finance and also wanna monetize your knowledge or get a job go for a professional finance/accounting degree like CFA, CPA, ACCA or your local professional Accounting course in your couny (like CA)

@@lawncarelegends6745 actually the money I have (2k) would needed to be compounded at like 16%-19% returns annually for like 32 years (my 50s)or so to have a value of like 3.8Million of that time (much lower value than today’s due to inflation). I think the best bet would be to start a business with bootstrapping.

Actually, he was very industrious at a young age. He worked for his grandfather, sold things door to door, had paper routes, etc. The money he invested even as a kid was his own.
