I also believe that the premise of the show would be classified as torture. In medieval, royalty would eat plenty of food in front of their subjects and prisoners as torture. Sure, having a number on screen representing a dollar amount is one thing, but look at the emotional moments during the show when they would lose most of the money and the physical money would drop away. It was torture. It was just made more obvious when they screwed that family.

It’s totally messed up that Marc Summers was fired for a perception. There wasn’t any evidence that he was difficult or that his condition was or would impair his ability to host; it was just a false perception. If the Hollywood Squares producers had had any sense, they would have realized, “Wait a minute…Marc has been hosting Double Dare and What Would You Do [a Nickelodeon show from the early to mid-90s, not the 20/20 segment] for years without issues, so obviously he can host just fine! There’s nothing to worry about!” Instead they made false assumptions. If anyone ever asks why people with conditions can be reluctant to reveal them, show them that segment.

The controversy came from the show, not the contestant. Prize prices were standardized, so faithful viewers would have an advantage. Bob Barker even called the concept "trusted fans and true." Most of these aren't what I would call "scandals." Most if them are contestant or host screw-ups. It happens quite a lot where the judges rule against a contestant over a spelling error or mispronounced answer. I don't regard the "Press Your Luck" incident as a scandal, really. The guy figured out a loophole to exploit, which IMO is perfectly legit. The producers and creators of the game set the rules and it's up to them to make sure every detail is checked.

I watched a different show about bad things that happened on dating shows. And one of the worst was that one. After the person who is going to go on the date is picked. The couple get a chance to have a little time to get to know each other before they are suppose to jump in the limo and go on their date. They were the first couple so they got the longest time before the end of the show when they would have to do that weird thing about blowing a kiss to the camera and the audience. She refused to go back on stage and she refused to go on the date. During their pre date someone from the show came in as she tried getting away from him. He was holding her wrist. And the staff person came in and saved her. And they told her that they didn’t want her to go out with him and she agreed it wasn’t a good idea. Then they split the money and gave him half and her half and they snuck her out a back door and sent her home. Then when she called to say she was home they told him the date wasn’t happening and sent him home with his share of the money. Then within a few weeks to a month he was arrested for the murders. And the show and the woman realized that it was probably perfect that she didn’t go out with him because she probably would have been killed if she had.

I don't see how the Jeopardy ones was a scandal. The guy clearly put a "T" in "Wimbledon" and he deserved to lose the money and there also aren't that many t's in "Emancipation." Spelling and pronunciation count for everyone so I don't see why those 2 should be given a pass

"No questions about this one! Someone's gettin' shaved!" Well said, Cena. I wish you could've defended your WWE title in a Hair vs. Title match against Eric Bischoff and used that very same "someone's gettin' shaved" line you said on that episode of "Manhunt", only as the Doctor of Thugganomics. I see why they called you by that nickname since you had two degrees from Brown (or Boston) University in psychology and physiology. You could easily have been an emotions therapist caring for patients who were sexually or emotionally abused by predators or child haters or worse. You go, Dr. Cena

She did an interview, and according to her, she ended up suing the production because they withheld her prize money from her. They claim it was because she lied about appearing on other game shows, she claimed it was because she got sick during the taping which cost them a lot of money and made Alex Trebek hate her. The only thing they agree on is that they withheld her pay, but for different reasons

0:39 even though I was born in the 2000s specifically 2005 they still play double Dare the old version of double dare and the production firing Marc Summers over having a disability it called obsessive compulsive disorder AKA OCD is BS. Someone has said the production is lucky that they didn't sue his a$$ and I 100% agree. 2:46 Also Bob eubanks is a legend on the newlywed game how can it be so risky. It's The newlywed show, y'all didn't have a problem with Tattletales. Just want to say, I love both of those shows from Buzzr it's just bruh. Really, sensors back in the sixties and seventies y'all had a problem with the newlywed game ._. 6:18 yeah I seen this and I really just wanted to whack my head with the palm of hand because of Nick Cannon saying something inappropriate. Hopefully he doesn't make that mistake again. Even his coworkers on wild n out make fun of the situation specifically Conceited and I don't blame him why because that was the most stup3dest thing that Nick Cannon has done sorry dude I'm being brutally honest. 13:12 Seeing this clip I really just wanted to go like why would you do that. That's the most dumbest thing that you have done. You were supposed to pick the right numbers to use to flip or flop why would you press the button, the host is only 😊supposed to do that you dummy dumb. 17:22 okay what the host did that was very funny😂😂😂. Hey mispelling happens it's a mistake and he also wants some money so stop complaining. 20:13 I'm still not over Alex trebek's passing in 2020 still hurts. I actually did not like Mike Richards as the host Jeopardy. I'm happy that Ken Jennings take that place as host since he is one a good friend of Alex Trebek even after winning Jeopardy. May Alex trebek Rest in peace 🕊️. 23:25 again so glad that Buzzr did not re-air this. Because I heard about the scandal was looking up press your luck on Wikipedia and I was completely shocked. If you win that much money don't just leave it in your house put it in a secure bank account and I mean very secure bank account. 27:00 sing the clip was the most weirdest thing to happen on The Gong Show. I understand why Jamie Farr gave it two. 28:31 I am happy I never seen the show but the couple was right the post-it notes came first now that the other stuff came into the 1990s or early 2000s what the f*ck. They should have brought them back regardless if their show got canceled brought them back in any other show made by Fox. I don't give a d*mn they should have brought them back. 29:39 Yeah there's nothing topping this off. Of hearing about this, I wanted to puke. I would love to say how much I despise this person but, without but you know KZitem deleting my comment.

The Moment of Truth wasn't exactly a scandal. She didn't cheat on the show. Everything she did on the show was perfectly legal. Besides, she didn't win anything. I'm not sure why people single her out anyway. All the contestants on that show are bad people. I tend to hate the ones that win more than I hate ones like her. Some contestants become $100,000 richer for admitting to being terrible people. At least she didn't win anything
