I ordered a LIberty safe about a week ago. They gave me an ETA of 8 to 10 weeks and apparently that is not unusual. I am excited but obviously hoping it arrives at the lower end of the estimate. Can’t wait to have a more secure place to keep my stuff that should have plenty of room for expansion. Currently have multiple gun cabinets and lock boxes.

I was going to get the liberty centurion after seeing so many amazing reviews. Only to learn that they’ve recently decided to replace the internal metal panels with a 3/4 inch wood chunk from now on to cut production costs. I hope to find an all metal safe that I can have a bit more confidence in we are only buying time after all. I hope your safe goes well!

Definitely in the market for a Liberty Safe at the moment. I'm speaking with a vendor tomorrow here in Omaha. My house is only 1000 sq ft and space is an issue. A gun safe roughly the size of a gun locker in about what I need and also about all I can afford. Thankfully Liberty offers the protection I need at a sub $1000 price point. I am a tad concerned about how I'm going to anchor it. It's a crawl space under my floor so I don't have a concrete foundation to mount the safe but hopefully the vendor I talk to will have some answers.

If you really wanted to provide an allusion of impartiality, you probably should've included Sturdy and/or Vault Pro - both manufactured in California - before Browning. I would think the thicker steel, supported bolts, etc is more important to customers than a door organizer. Good on ya' for including AMSEC but if someone is willing to pay AMSEC prices, they're probably willing to pay for the thicker steel of Sturdy or Vault Pro. I'm a fan of you guys Liberty. I'm so glad you guys are providing great U.S.-made safes for the masses. But unless you specify "best mass-produced value", most will think "best" in regards to a safe means security, not door organizers.

Safes/good RSC, are the ultimate buy once cry once purchase, and the last place you want to cheap out. The AMSEC BFII series not expensive at all compared to others, but will keep all but determined pros with tools and time out. AMSEC has more experience than any other, and what you tend to see in commercial grade applications. Don't waste your $ on anything else. They don't advertise as the other brands do as everyone who knows safes/RSCs, knows AMSEC.

Safes are usually burglarized by cutting the sides, not the front. Any $29.95 Harbor Freight cutting tool will usually open one of these safes in ten minutes or less. I'll buy a safe to keep my grandson away from my guns. My #1 safeguard is my burglar alarm......#2 is insurance.

You are not answering the right question. How much steel is in the body, NOT the door. A minimum of 3/16 inch USA steel. Only Liberties top model has this, anything else can be cut open with a simple electric saw. Safe is only as strong as its weakest part.

This is a good video touting the merits of various safes. She made a couple of comments I thought were interesting.........She made a point of saying imports sometimes didn't measure up to the quality of U.S. made......then mentioned Amsec's Residential safes were basically imported. :) She then mentioned most companies could produce only about 20 quality safes a day, but Liberty could produce up to 700 per day......THAT makes me think Liberty's focus is generating money and not quality. Quality has to suffer when production is more important than quality. I would rather live in a house that was built in a reasonable amount of time and not one that was thrown together in a big hurry.......That's my 2 cents worth.

Yup look up a mess they make one safe at a time and they dont advertise as much, cause they dont need to In my view sec are the best safes. You got steel and fireproof cement. So if you can make it trough steel you then have to make it trough cement.

I am more concerned about coastal "flood/water" damage. Additionally, most home/business fires are extinguished by fire departments drenching with high pressure water. Why doesn't Liberty Safe ever mention or discuss that?

RSCs cannot legally be called safes for insurance purposes because they don't pass the standards for a "safe" so manufacturers had to call it something else.....RSC.

I just bought a liberty safe this past Saturday from Tractor Supply. Haven't picked it up yet they are holding it for me. Till my brother can get a day off. He has a full size truck. I researched and researched and researched Watched a lot of You Tube videos etc. Every single person I have ever talked too. Has nothing but good things to say about their Liberty safes. Nary a single person had #1 single bad thing to say about them. That says volumes right there. Everyone bragging on a product is a huge to me. Firsthand knowledge is key. I hope I like mine as much as everyone else likes theirs. I'm not rich by any means. So that's why the 6 months of research. I'm glad I didn't buy a Winchester or Cannon China made safe. They cost almost as much as a liberty and are total garbage. But if you didn't know the difference you'd be screwed. Peace.

You are not buying a price point you are buying time. If you need to keep firearms away from kids...you don't need that much. The next steps up are opportunistic meth-head, amateur thief (the contractor who saw your safe) and the pro (where you better have several layers of protection and a very very high end safe that cannot be moved). And have good insurance in case of that last one.

@@TheHomeandGunSafeChannel It's absolutely true. A standard saw for cutting metal cuts right through RSC safes like its wood. You can get these saws from home depot. TL safes can easily go in a garage or downstairs as long as the house is not pier and beam. Even if it is pier and beam it may be able to hold the weight of a TL safe.
