I’d love to see a budget hard use video! Every other knife KZitemr cuts boxes & letters for a week & says “great work knife” I know you actually work w yours. 😂

The LBS disc on the Hinderer does do a little more than just a regular over travel stop. If you look at the way it's machined into the lockbar, the disc nests in and prevents travel in all directions so that the bar can't flex up towards the frame or down away from it. While it's probably not strictly necessary, it does actually do more. I've noticed most specifically on my Nymble W with how thin (short in height?) the lockbar is even just pulling in and out of the detent on open causes a lot of travel parallel with-in the lockbar cutout area.

Not needing a big forward coil to choke up on that decreases the length of cutting edge is how all well designed folders should be imo, makes so much more sense. So to me the Mcnees is designed well, knives like the PM2 or SNG are not, but that’s just me. Enjoying the content Dood ✌🏻

I’d take the McNees as it’s the most in my blindspot tbh.. I’m gonna have to grab the full AD20 next time they come around tho- time after that at most! Have a smaller model which is a fav, though def not fitting this same category. Have a G10 MSI at work lately which serves my taste great; but again that’s a few notches back from these, so to speak

I own a full ti, milled working finish xm18 spanto in s45, gen 1 Mac 2 3.5 in 20cv, ti 20.5 and a ti m390 pm2 build and they all used to get pocket time at the foundry I work at. But lately, I’ve been only carrying my stonewashed smooth QC drift in vanax and north arm skaha 2 in magnacut lately. I’ve kind of started enjoying the lightweight, thinner blade stock carries the last couple of months. My holt haptic has really made me fall in love with smaller knives.

Using a leaf blower in the desert is extremely dusty and dirty. Washers get just as dirty as bearings. Bearing are fine for dirty work. I have to disassemble and clean my dirty ass washer knives just as much as bearing knives. Having backspacer actually makes the most difference in keeping a knife clean, at least for me.
