Great video, great footage, I have done all those hikes but did not get the footage you did. Its hard sometimes there are just so many views. Great Job. I used to live in Seward so there relatively close. Harding icefield is a great hike, no matter what shape I was in that hikes always left me feeling like I needed a day or two of rest afterword.

Hey thank you!! Yeah i am always so tired after those big hikes too haha! the first time we tried to do the harding icefield we walked through that entire entrance road under a foot of snow and it ended up being like 12 miles round trip and we didnt get back to the car til like 11 pm. at that point it was pretty scary because we could only imagine how many animals were lurking in the woods waiting to eat us..

I agree those are all top Hikes, but you gotta go farther than 2 hours from anchorage! Wrangle St Elias, Lionshead, Seldovia, Halibut cove, Byers lake, Twin peaks eklutna, Johnson Pass, Alaska is a huge place!

For people who don’t want to be scared are these trails actually safe? Seems bear spray isn’t completely effective and I’m unlikely to outrun the bear. Any tips?

Your info is a bit outdated, the Winner Creek hand tram hasn’t been up since Fall 2019 due to the the two accidents last year. It has not been up for the entire 2020 season, it has not been confirmed if/when it will return.

I hope you take a good firearm hiking in Alaska. People would be stupid not to take protection.
