In Europe the graded card culture started with the big boom of 2020. But now there are thousands of junk slabs from local grading companies with no demand

Yeah that's a good point. Only graded cards from the biggest graders in the industry are worth collecting for the most part. The newer little companies that popped up during the huge grading rush were/are extremely risky to use. Even PSA is getting their brand tarnished right now; the little guys kinda don't stand a chance.

I have noticed these same factors across all vehicles of investing and my findings are in line with yours. The generalized hope is that as people return to the previous norm and global tensions ease that all markets see a rebound. this has happened before countless times and the wise investor knows to buy wisely as it's only a matter of time before a rebound hits especially as in the card market, manufacturers find new ways to entice the average buyer with new and exciting products.

Most graded cards are a scam. Don't forget about that. PSA doesn't use an inner sleeve and can damage your flawless cards because they shake in the case. They can also get damaged in the mail, and PSA themselves has even nicked cards grading. Not to mention their grading is subjective unlike ags. Ags technology not good enough yet either but already better than PSA. I would not pay overpriced rates to damage my cards.

Yeah those are fair points. An inner sleeve would be a nice thing for PSA to add on all cards moving forward; they have it for some of the bigger ones, but would be nice for all cards.
