Very surprised you never considered Nightcap Camera. I remember mentioning this to you earlier this year and remember you saying you would try it out... I personally have used it for years; be it for Long Exposure, Light Trails, Stars/ISS/Star Trails/Meteor Modes. I have tried the others you mention but Nightcap remains my number one choice.

Was excited that your no 1 pick Slow Shutter was what I bought today, as it was cheap. I wanted to learn how to use it to paint with light using it. Any advice. Perhaps a tutorial on that. Real enjoyed your method of sharing information. Thank you.

I need ur best advise for iPhone 11 video flickering problem under led white lights white background . So horrible bad quality I get . How to solve this problem
@Film-ish

The flickering is due to the rolling shutter effect between the LED and the camera sensor. What kind of LED lights are you using? I would recommend new lights.

@@Film-ish I ale market vlogs and I have to visit several places different businesses have different lights 😔 when I reach the place for shoot , only then I will know which lights they have. Is there any solution to this problem. Is there any video editor where I can use pro features to control shutter speed for iPhone 11 ios
@Film-ish

@@WholesaleZone Filmic Pro will allow you to adjust the shutter speed, but I would recommend against that. You really want to have your shutter speed at 1/50 for ideal video quality. I would recommend bringing your own light. There are plenty of LEDs that you can buy that will allow you to control your lighting. There are plenty that are small and portable lights on the market to help. Ultimately, for REAL advice, I would find any wedding videographer or event videographer - they have VAST knowledge in situations similar to yours. I'm a stills photographer and my video knowledge is limited. Good luck!!!

@@WholesaleZone Filmic Pro will help, but I can't stress this enough... bringing a supplemental light will help more. A simple light stand and LED like the Lumicube will help more than any video app or editing software. Good luck!

Taking your suggestion for slow shutter together with your other really fabulous idea for using polarizing filters. Thanks. I’m going to try one of these apps... I’ll let you know how it goes! We don’t have many rivers with water in them around here (SoCal). No covered bridges either. But we do have traffic... lots of freeways.

I use slow shutter cam when I want to get the best slow shutter simulation as well. I have found nothing better. Spectre is my number 2 and improving since its release. I have not tried camera + 2 for slow motion I will have to give it a try. My general app is the lightroom mobile app as I like the colors, and I can use my presets I have made over the years. Great for quick editing as I don't want to spend a half-hour on a single image to get it right. I try to edit as little as possible. I am sunsetsam on instagram I will post one to tinyshutter and spectre you can use if you wish

TinyShutter Christmas lights are a favorite with the slow shutter apps. It possible to get some cool effects from the light from windows and and Christmas lights interacting with snow. When I lived in Washington I found an old book on the states waterfalls and found some listed that were unknown for years. They tended to be on private land but a business card , Christmas cookies goes a long way to getting the okay to shoot. The big issue it seems are kids jumping off the falls and getting hurt and litigation. Perhaps you may run in the same on issues on some of the covered bridges with the old ones now on private land.

This is really informative. I've been trying to get my hands on an IPhone camera app which can take raw photos with more or less similar functionalities of a DSLR but couldn't decide what to purchase. This gives the much needed clarity on that. I'm definitely going for Camera+ 2. Thanks a lot for making this video.

Sadly there isn’t one. The iPhone hardware limit is 1 second exposure. Apple won’t allow any further. That’s why all the slow shutter apps use a simulated long exposure. For now, no RAW.

I have never had any quality issues when using these camera apps. The only one that degrades the image quality is the Native iOS and that is because it has a hard time with the blur effect. Slow Shutter Cam has never failed me in image quality. I save as TIFF files and print pretty big
