I got one jew, 6 trevally, 1 35cm bream 3 flathead and 8 or so big whiting in a 3 hour session shore based on the parra today. All on a quarter ounce blade. So that's my favourite lure for everything . You youngsters really should try them. They're one weakness is theyre no good around rocky edges. But they are otherwise the most efficient small lure type I've ever used.🐳🐋🐬🐟🐠🐡🦈

@@ShroomFishing Arms ok but no sunscreen so I'm a bit cooked. Yesterday was quieter but today's session was awesome. I dropped the biggest whiting I have ever seen right at my feet yesterday. It looked about a kilo and might have gone 50cm. Thought it was a soapy jew when I first saw it. It was freaky how big this thing was.😭

@@markrigg6623 nice going mark, I keep coming up with zero on the paramatta river, been fishing down towards the gladesville bride mostly early mornings. What blade are you using?
@markrigg6623
3 жыл бұрын
@@wbromfield I'm using quarter ounce TTs. But you have to change the hooks because the ones they come with are blunt. Which is a hassle and it adds expense. Most brands work well. Strike pro cyber vibes are another I've had success with. You should find when it warms up a bit you'll get better results. In winter you have to be at the right place.
@wbromfield

@@markrigg6623 I took your advice and bought a ECO VIBE, caught a 43cm and 70cm flatty on the river today. Smashed my PB by 15cm. Stoked as. Thanks for the advice Mark!

When you're using the Berkley Gulp Jerk shad, how heavy do you go when fishing at Botany Bay (size lead)?
@ShroomFishing

Hey Mohammad, I use 3/8 and 1/2oz size 3/0 hooks. There's a video fishing Botany Bay with that exact lure in the video (linked)

With the squidgie, isn't the 3/8 jig head you recommend too heavy for shore fishing off the rocks?

shroom i find that when i'm using divers in shallow water the lure always digs into the mud and sand. is there a way around that?
@ShroomFishing
Жыл бұрын
They work well if they are touching the bottom periodically but not if they are trying to dig through the bottom of that makes sense. One good way to avoid this is to keep the rod tip up and slow the retrieve a taf

Thanks Bob. I haven't used Squidgie lobbys in what feels like 20 years haha. You just forget about how many lures are at our disposal today. I was considering throwing in something like that Shadow Rap in the list but I just hadn't used it enough in recent times. Those Rapalas are deadly efficient
