3 mistakes that you may have done.. but if you haven’t, they should be your top 3 mistakes. 1. Didn’t do market research. Didn’t analyze the market in your area in order to create a marketing plan and accurately price your services. 2. Didn’t write a business plan. With financial projections for the first 3 years. This would’ve forced you to learn the business side of it. 3. Didn’t create a monthly, quarterly and yearly budget. This would allow you to know how many details you have to do, in order to turn a profit. It will also allow you to budget for supplies. Forecasting is also important which is separate from your actual budget because you can adjust it from one month to the next.

THIS is the number one mistake, I was just talking about this earlier. It would have been a whole lot smarter with some sort of business education, whether a crash course or a couple college classes. Because looking at business from a textbook perspective is priceless. Its never too late, Im so serious about this that I’ll probably take a few classes on business. But all the numbers you mentioned are crucial, all this needs to be crunched and analyzed without a DOUBT!

How do I know when I need to replace my mf towels? Where did you learn the detailing process? I strive to do the best job I can but I'm no pro detailer and would like to improve my process, but what I know I've learned here on y/t from various detail sights.

KZitem is a great place to learn, most of us learned here, from body shops, or handed down from our parents, Ive learned a little bit from all the above, Im no pro detailer either but I strive to be and that starts with doing the difficult things like changing bad habits or investing more into the business such filtering out bad towels. You can compare your microfiber towels to a brand new one, they should be relatively the same softness. If it’s noticeably hard and old get rid of it

Loving the content and I am exited to see you succeed and grow. And by the way.. You are on the right path. I did a lot of your mistakes aswell. Especially the windows part. I hated window cleaning.. Well it took a lot of years to find a good method though.. Pain in the a**. Keep it up 👍🏻

I know bro, I wanted that one too. I initially bought one to make a car setup, but later changed my mind and wanted a van setup, but the one generator was too small to run a van setup, so I just bought another one and paired them lol 🤷♂️
