Thank you for sharing your thoughts! I appreciate the passion and depth of your insights regarding different Bible translations and interpretations. It’s clear you’ve put a lot of thought into these issues. My goal with this video was to focus on the core teachings of Jesus and help clear up common misconceptions, using the KJV as a reference. I value diverse perspectives in the study of Scripture, and I’m always open to learning more. If there are specific misconceptions or interpretations you believe need more attention, I’d love to hear more about them. Thanks again for watching!

The first misconception is that His name was Jesus. His name was Yeshua and most around him would have called Him Yeshu, which was the way of the language in His locale according to experts. You are correct that He was strident regarding dishonesty, but this is a common view, not a misconception by the great majority. He was also very clear that faith counted one as righteous, not their deeds. Read Rom 7 a few times.

Thanks for taking the time to watch and interact with the content! You're right that Jesus' real name was Yeshua, but I wouldn't be able to reach as many people with the Word if I used his given name. And while faith counts us as righteous, not our deeds, James 2:26 tells us that "For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also." So you can't just have one without the other. They have to go together. Most Christians are only concerned with faith, so I don't go into that part too much. Again, thank you for your feedback!

@@ThatsNotWhatJesusSaid-Erin Works salvation is a false gospel. While faith certainly would produce acts of goodwill, saying those works save us is a lie. Read Matt 7 and see what the Lord will say to those who tout their works.

@@caelachyt I'm not saying that works alone will save because they will not but we are called to do good works, and that is not false. I appreciate your comments and contribution to the discussion, as it might help clarify the message. Have a blessed day! 🙏

@@ThatsNotWhatJesusSaid-Erin As Paul says in Rom 7, "Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.". Being in this flesh we strive to do good, but that is an uphill battle until we are glorified. Praise Yeshua!

Woah... Hang on. Around 7 minutes 40 you talk about salvation. You say "So when we think about salvation, it's not just about personal faith". Actually, yes. So you are wrong.. You are preaching works based salvation. That is a false teaching. Will you delete my comment and block me from your channel for pointing out your mistake or do you repent and stand corrected? I'm also not sure if I agree with what you said about the good Samaritan but I will listen to your video about that.

I am very open to critique. I will not block you just because you feel passionate about something that I have a different interpretation of. I will pray for discernment on this. Thank you for the feedback.

@@ThatsNotWhatJesusSaid-Erin Thanks, I am sorry if I give a bad impression. It is important to keep the Gospel clear... It is strictly about Jesus... There can't be anything added to it. No if, and, or buts.... By the way, I had a listen to your video about the good Samaritan. That parable is actually about the law and good works, vs. mercy. The first two that pass by represent the law and how obedience to it can not save you. The Samaritan represents mercy, which saves. I also left a comment on that video, hope you don't mind.
