Actually, if the guy to your left grabs chips out of order while you are getting ready to bet it is the STRONGEST MOST RELIABLE tell that he is WEAK. I always DOUBLE my bet when they try to prevent you from betting by acting like they are going to raise you. Caro says this is the MOST reliable tell for weakness there is.

Not if the guy to the left knows that you know this tell. Tells can be somewhat reliable against level 2 thinkers, but beware the level 3 thinkers.

I agree with daniel on all of them, however number 4 can work both ways. there's people who sometimes are weak and grab their chips early because they don't want you to bet. it is very common when playing agasint very inexperienced players. But again, you can also find people who really do it unconcious, this is where they are really strong and are very desperate to bet. Another tell is whenever opponents grab the chips with most value. this represents a strong hand.

Good list, but I sort of disagree with #4. A lot of times guys will do the early chip grab when they see you go to bet as a way to scare you into checking because they are weak. Look to see if they are making overt gestures to try and make sure you see them. They are often trying to intimidate you.

#1 early grab offense - If you are in pos'n and the player has yet to act. Grab your chips. If he/she bets fairly fast after you grab then you fold your hand. Don't do this against pro's. Just the every day casual guys and gals.

Some assholes get mad when you got nuts on the flop (like full house, or three of a kind) and you just check so you can make the pot bigger. Sure, its risky if too many players hang in there for the river, but you can make a killing.
@GaChristianHY

Anybody have any suggestions for preventing my hands from trembling? It happens when I'm stone cold bluffing or have the nuts. I used to never have this problem until after I went on a 6 month poker hiatus. Now I shake so much that I drop chips whenever I have the nuts. Dries up ALL my action. My chip shuffling sucks and I don't really want to learn that skill. And I don't really like bluffing unless I'm card dead.

As with everything in poker, there's more to it than that. What you're looking for is unconscious reactions. Someone who obviously looks at their chips is a different story. Tells are not something you should play on when you first sit down. You should watch players and see what they do. Over time you can pick things up that will help in later pots. It's similar to watching patterns in play, and a lot more difficult to master.

What about THE WSOP this year? What about the latest season of HSP? Actually, come to think of it, pretty much ANY season of HSP he's been in? How much has he lost on HSP over all those seasons? I'm not saying he plays bad all the time...far from it...it's just that he doesn't play well as often as he really can...so great for him for being in the final table of WSOP Europe...and for the record, I am a fan of Negreanu absolutely...

If a player bets big on the river, stare at them and ask them questions. If they appear timid, fold. If they appear strong, call. If they are smart they won't respond. Pretty basic, but effective.

Depends on what's just happened. If you're talking to them and they look at their whole cards and start making no sense, they probably are really excited about their pocket K's or A's. If they make a huge bet post flop with 2 8 J on the board and you ask them a question and their answer is really confusing, they are probably bluffing. There is still the chance they're just very nervous about their good hand. One thing is certain, they are nervous about something. Gotta read why.
