Tom Brady's defense allowed 19.0 PPG in his 10 Super Bowls (18.4 PPG in his 7 Super Bowl victories) giving up more than 21 points 5 times.Thats an average of 3.2 fewer PPG allowed by Montana's defense in Super Bowls. Joe Montana has never led the league in passing yards. Tom Brady has led the league in passing yards 4 times. Joe Montana has led the league in passing touchdowns twice. Tom Brady has led the league in passing touchdowns 4 times (most in NFL history). Without Joe Montana, the San Francisco 49ers have a record of 44-32-1 (57.1%) between 1979-1992. Without Tom Brady, the New England Patriots have a record of 18-19 (48.6%) between 2000-2019. Even if you exclude the seasons before they became their team's primary starter (for whatever reason), the 49ers have a record of 42-18-1 (68.9%) without Joe Montana while the Patriots have a record of 15-9 (60.0%) without Tom Brady. Brady has never been in a playoff game in which his team failed to score a touchdown The year Joe Montana threw 22 touchdown passes to Jerry Rice, he only threw 9 touchdown passes to the rest of his team. The year Tom Brady threw 23 touchdown passes to Randy Moss, he also threw 27 touchdown passes to the rest of his team Joe Montana has won 71.3% (117-47) of his regular season games. Tom Brady has won 76.8% (230-69) of his regular season games Joe Montana has won 69.6% (16-7) of his playoff games. Tom Brady is 6-5 in playoff games when his team gives up 28+ points Joe Montana went one and done in the playoffs 4 times in his 11 playoff appearances. Tom Brady went one and done 3 times in his 18 playoff appearances The 49ers posted 6 STRAIGHT seasons winning 10+ games (1993-1998) and won a Super Bowl when Joe Montana left. The Patriots went 7-9 the very next season after going 12-4 the year before when Tom Brady left Tom Brady best TD to INT ratio for a single season - 14/1 if your argument is that its harder to win or be great in NBA then log off. Brady played in snow storms, freezing temps. He's played with a broken finger and dislocated shoulder. Brees played with broken ribs and look how the saints looked with that ONE GUY not at 100%. There's levels to this. Brady is the most renowned QB to do more with less at the receiver position. Making no name receivers look like superstars. You have 4 chances to beat Jordan in the playoffs. You only have one chance in the NFL. The QB is the captain of the ship and Brady turned a losing franchise into a champion in one year without training camp. Tom Brady is the GOAT of all sports. He is a unicorn. Not only is he great but greatness follows him. He is the apex of the Mathew principal in professional sports.
