6.5 Creedmoor is awesome but personally I have loved .270 Win. for hunting and the .270 just give me the capability to hunt everything with no issue. From hunting Deer and Pronghorn up to Grizzly Bears the .270 does the job. The biggest complaint I hear with respect to the .270 compared to the 6.5 Creedmoor is recoil the 6.5 just doesn't have as much felt recoil. This makes it a very solid round for competition but also makes a difference for some hunters. Also the 6.5mm has an advantage for some with it being a short action compared to the .270 being a long action. For me 6.5 is a great round probably the best for many but .270 has dominated everywhere from out West up to Alaska and even in the Southeast US. If I just hunted out west I would take the 6.5mm Creedmoor but .270 allows me more range of hunting.

I get that he is tfbtvs resident long range guy but he doesnt have to be such a tool about it and tell people to not question him or disagree. I understand some nice stuff is expensive but 99.99% of the viewers will never have the money to buy a $7000 rifle and a $3000 scope with a $500 bipod and a kestrel wind checker and attend some week long long range course. He acts like unless you have all that youd be lucky to hit a Mack truck at 100 yards.

As for your pick of rifles, I agree with the lineup except for #5 and I feel the Delta 5 should be #1 and the Howa #4. In the #5 slot I would have slapped in DSA's improved precision FAL. Also, if possible, I'd love to hear your opinion on GRS's stocks, such as the Bifrost, Bolthorn, and the Sporter. If I got my hands on the Deta 5, my immediate action would be dropping it into the Bifrost (if I can get a blank Bifrost and custom inlet for the Delta 5). I have a Tikka T3x that I dropped and bedded into a GRS Sporter and she never fails to turn heads on the long range with that absolute beauty queen of a stock, and the feel of that stock is unmatched in comfort for me, but I'd like to hear an opinion on the others I mentioned from a PR shooter that spends probably a lot more time than I do on the longer ranges.

Anyone who says essentially “it’s no longer open for discussion...eg 6.6” gets me. Arrogance.? Kind of like big government telling us how to live and think. Global warming shrilly comes to mind...” the consensus says” and it’s no longer arguable. Entitled arrogance that I find impalpable.

@wildbill .223 is solid but not exactly for winning wars or taking down large game which defeats its purpose. It’s made to maim. .224 is faster and has a much farther range as well as the kinetics involved are astounding. The rifles built to shoot such a round are limited but are advancing with new brands and designs. I used a cmmg.224 and it was a treat. Recoil is none and admittedly a better scope would’ve made a big difference, the round didn’t fail. We shot (20) allowable rounds for 5,6,700 yards as we were past viewpoint. The .224 is solid WildBill and you’ll see for yourself.

The Daniel Defense bolt action rifle looks awesome and has some nice features. i really want to look at one but i assume they will price themselves out of the market with a stupid high msrp. their AR-15's are already overpriced compared to better options that cost less. the HOWA mini looks like fun tho, they make nice actions and the cost is realistic.

Well when I clicked on a video named “Top 5 rifles of shot show 2019” I expected it to be a general list of rifles that people actually gave a shit about and could afford. If he wanted to make a video about high end precision rifles the title should have included the word “precision” somewhere in it. Lets not be foolish and pretend that the ONLY rifles at shot show that were good/interesting were high end and precision. Oh I have nothing against nice guns I just wanted to poke fun at how much of a snob he is.
