One thing that sucks is that if you stop paying, you loose all of your accumulated credits. I feel like it would be better if it was less subscription service and more a straight pay for credits and use them whenever type of service. Everyone is goin to subscriptions and I have so many of them that every once in a while I will clean them up and Splice usually is one that gets cut.

Definitely agree with this Aaron. If you have some favourite samples, you could always whack em in a project and bounce them out individually. Not sure where you stand on their T&C's with that though. I've actually started using less and less Splice these days. Partially for that reason, partially because I want to be using less generic drum sounds. But it is quite freeing!

Tip #4 is an amazing one! To go even further with that, learn the words/vocabulary for the sample packs that you already have downloaded that way you can access them easier. For example some packs use the word "riser" and other packs will say "sweep." Knowing which words certain packs use will help you find the sounds you want easier

I use Splice for the samples as well, but I mainly use it for backing up my Ableton Live projects. So lately I have been having an issue with syncing my project in Splice. When i'm on the road I use my laptop, and after loading my projects from Splice, I get a message that samples are missing from my project. Any idea how to resolve this issue? I know the samples are there, because if I go back to my desktop and open the project, all the files load.

Heya! You might have to contact splice on this, as I don't use it for the backup function (I use BackBlaze!). You might find that it's trying to find samples that you used then deleted... Try: Deleting unused audio files in Logic Syncing sounds in Splice Relinking sounds in splice if that's an option!!

Amazing Vid Adam. Thanx buddy. Love the way you've put all this together. I actually thought I could use Splice as a plugin in the sense of downloading a 'one hit' sound, adding it to cubase and then being able to play that sound in midi the same way a sound would be sampled and integrated into a daw project. But correct as you said, Splice isnt a VST plugin but hopefully it should be easy to use the sounds as samples. Thanx again. Have a rockin week :D
