Nice video, I am glad you mentioned the Tissot Visodate. I bought one, 2 weeks ago as my wedding watch.Usually I dont like dress watches but this one has something special to it.

- Tissot PR 100 Powermatic 80 COSC: Chronometer COSC certified / 80 hour power reserve / 39mm / inertial free-sprung balance for more stability / Date windows at 6 o'clock with a cyclops implemented internally, so, no ugly bump on the Sapphire Crystal, plus a case back display (also sapphire) and all of that swiss modern technology and features for $400 if you look well on the grey market. It is also elegant and sporty so you can dress it up or down. I do not find better option if you want the swiss tradition, quality and innovation on a wristwatch.

where can you find that watch? I looked everywhere and could not find this Tissot Seastar 1000 automoatic anywhere in Silver.

Nice selections. I would go with a Mido Commander I as well. The MSRP is over $500 but they can be found near $400. It is a smaller watch, is a remake, and has a very mid century vibe.

I have a Hamilton khaki field automatic . I love it. I also have a Steinhart Ocean one 39. Ok . Both were just over $500. Both are great watches.

My 2 favorites, under 500 pre-owned: Mido Ocean Star Commander, Certina DS Diver. Both have the awesome ETA 80 hour movement and a ratcheting clasp (easier than Glide Lock).

Thanks for the video, great as alwasys! My first swiss watch was an Eterna Avant Garde that I was able to pick up new for $430. It is a beautifully finished watch with an amazingly decorated movement. You usually can't find them for less than $1000 but I got lucky a couple years ago. It is the watch that got me back into watches.

The reason glycine can be found cheap right now is because they were bought by invicta and the first thing invicta wanted to do was discount give away all the old stock, so now is still a great time to pick up pre-invicta glycine watches at a steal price, until they run out. Personally about a year ago I grabbed a glycine airman as part of this flush out sale.

I have the Victorinox INOX in blue and I agree with you, it's an awesome watch. The rubber strap that came with it is high quality, but it's so stiff that I didn't find it comfortable. I would recommend putting a Bonetto Cinturini rubber strap on it, which is what I did. It's tough to find bracelets for these as the lug width is 21 mm

Swiss made means: 60% of the parts must be Swiss, the movement must be Swiss, the watch much be cased up in Switzerland and the final inspection must take place in Switzerland.

Anthony, my brother, another great video. It is so true the Swiss Made gets pretty vague. Especially since the latest revision of the rules. I like your choices very much. There is a Hamilton Khaki and a Glycine Airman that I have on my list, but haven’t pulled the trigger yet. I always agree on doing your research first, before buying. I also believe in knowing your taste also before buying. It reduces buyers remorse. I have to admit, my list is over 40 pages long. Again, great video with great insight. All the best!-Mark

Hey JA, nice to see Luminox mentioned, they seem to have dropped off the radar screen. Visodate is a must for a guy with some fashion sense. Speaking of a quirky piece with a retro vibe is the Mido Commander I (silver), Joma has it at $435, thinking of buying one just for the hell of it. Lays nice and flat and the mesh is a trip. Best, JP

My pleasure. I have always liked Hamilton although don't own one and never had!! Although I own many examples of Rolex, Omega, Breitling, Heuer, IWC, Zenith, B&R, etc I would love a simple Khaki Mechanical on a NATO for the sheer fun of the simplicity and honesty of it but believe it or not the Hamilton AD here in Qatar won't stock the value pieces preferring to stock and sell the more expensive ones only.
