New rider- new CBR650R owner- keep hearing the same thing about the stock Dunlop tires- and how the traction is trash and they don’t like to lean over. Is it only noticeable at highway speeds, or are even slow leaned corners harder? Trying to figure out how much is my noobness vs the tires.
@MotoSquidYT
17 күн бұрын
@@Alloyaha The thing is the Dunlop tires take super long to warm up and even when they're at good temp they just don't have great grip compared to other good tires. I wouldn't test the bikes limits on the Dunlop's man. It can slip out on you even on a parking lot, it's better to buy good tires right away and practice on those. The Diablo Rosso 4 tires that I got were really great

Bro, when you wheelie in 1st gear, ur at 50~ kmph, and how much do you rev it up to before dumping the clutch?
@MotoSquidYT
2 ай бұрын
@@danielmoscu8179 I usually rev it anywhere between 8-10k rpm... if you rev it lower you have to add a bit more throttle to get the wheel higher, if you rev more you have to control the throttle more during the come up, so you don't flip it. Keep in mind I'm not super skilled when it comes to wheelies, you can also try lower speeds in 1st with lower revs (6k minimum), or ride in lower rpms in 2nd and rev it a bit more✌️

I spoke with the owner of probably the nicest S1000RR in my area and man... makes me want to get one so bad. My CBR650R is the absolute best looking/sounding 650 out here with the straight pipe akra and other stuff, but... you get used to the power you know. I just don't want to spend thousands of euros making this 650 marginally quicker.

R9 is the answer. wait for it to come, gonna be absolute beast.

S1000RR's are super sweet obviously, they usually come with a few issues though. You do get used to the power on the cbr650r but it's still hella fun and "quick" in twisties, I'd wait for an R9 like the first comment said, or maybe stick to the Honda brand and get a cbr1000. It's not worth upgrading your bike that much, you would dump way too much money, it's almost always better to upgrade to a bigger/faster bike.

can you give me a tl:dr on how to wheelie this bike? do you turn TC off?
@fortwo650
Ай бұрын
Turn tc off or you cant do it, you have two options, first one is easier but takes more skill 1st- first gear, 25-40 kmh, clutch up and cover rear brake because its coming up fast 2nd- second gear, around 45 kmh, and press clutch, a loooot of torque and drop the clutch while keeping on the gas while bike goes up, steadier the gas, more control you have. Its a heavy motorcycle but you can lift it easy with practice. Hope this helps, i have this same bike, cheers ✌🏻

If they won't allow it just because they're scared of you doing that, make sure you show them a lot of responsibility so they trust you more. You can also get it restricted to 50% power, just so you're sure you won't be going crazy fast until you learn more.
