It does not matter if every single person in the world tells the car companies that they hate the auto stop as long as the EPA exists it will be in every new vehicle

I hated the auto start/stop on my Outback... and I hate it on my ZR2. That said, I just made turning it off part of my "pre-flight checklist" and it's second nature to turn it off. Your experience may vary, of course, but I generally shy away from mucking with the manufacturer's software (I work in information security and I'm not a fan of unofficial/unsupported software hacks). I also feel your pain with the lack of storage - my Outback was a veritable warehouse on wheels. The ZR2, not so much. I've ended up getting a Decked drawer system to move a lot of stuff into the bed, freeing up space under the rear seat for more storage.

@@CurtGodwin I have already got used to hitting the switch and it’s less of an annoyance than I originally thought so I don’t think there’s a need for that mod anymore. How’s the decked system? I think they are really cool and would love one.

Hello again, I do have that tray off of amazon, it fits nicely, has a little rubber anti slide thing at the bottom, the same company also sells much cheaper stowflex dividers and a center console cover, similar to a seat cover. I haven't gotten the divders yet and the center console cover is neat but I feel it will be good on trips only for protection.

START/STOP BUTTON.......Due to EPA restrictions/regulations, all new cars, especially our big 3, do this to "skirt" the requirements so they can achieve the numers that the EPA is requiring. As for the automakers listening to us, they did/are. When they first came out, you didn't have a "factory" way to turn it off. Now they are giving us a way to do it. And they arent going to make it defalt to being off, or once turned off stay off, because then the EPA would have a $H1+ fit. As it was, they fought to be able to give us a factory way to turn it off. AUX BUTTON....... You are correct about the location of the wire. HOWEVER.........You do not have to have the dealership "turn" it on. The wire is a ground, so you put in a relay, and that triggers the relay to run your item. ALL WINDOWS DOWN BUTTON........The reason it doesn't work for all up is that it's a safety issue. To make ha little ones aren't sticking things out the window, or dogs aren't sticking thier head out. All this is out there to find if you are well into the "vehicle scene" There are hundreds of articles, interviews about this.....EXCEPT the AUX switch. That is just KZitem, but just because it's on KZitem doesn't make it FACT untill you PERSONALLY verify it. Just like news and other things, do research and also research the flip side of issues. That's what makes you an informed individual. Great vids. I'm enjoying your content. I have been saving my pennies and such from the time of release of the 2023. So i am now awaiting the arival of my 2024 GMC Denali !!!!!! And with trade in i owe $0 !!!!! I have all my mods planned out and listed. I ordered mine exactly the way i wanted it (as of the time ordering) , there are a few changes im gonna do, but if i would have ordeed the options it chaged other options i wanted to keep and would've cost me more in the end.

Nah, to much wear and tear on the starter IMO. GM does have a long list of things of when the Auto/Stop start won't activate. If I'm running the AC it won't activate. So cabin temp is one of them

@@GB-lg6ge really? I’ll test it out of curiosity. I read somewhere that they auto start stop only activates when some part is in the ideal position in order to be as less “damaging” but I don’t believe it
