Spot on. As an amateur developer I can understand what you are saying. The time issue is the most important one for me.

Unfortunately those that are within the industry do no seem to want help others wanting to learn the industry. Look at all the boards that people post questions to, those people are brutal in their answers. They make me wonder what are they even doing on those boards other than to dress down everyone with a question just to boost their egos. That sure is helpful

Thanks for the video Steve, very good timing for the video. I do have a question, what are you thoughts on Data Science? I am looking at doing a Masters in Data Science as I am constantly putting together "data" to generate information for all of my employers and believe there is a large need in industry to assist them to bring data together in a meaningful sense (as opposed to copying information from spread sheet to spread sheet). I would be learning Python & SQL which make sense from what I have experienced in the work place creating information systems to create meaning out of the data.

Data science is becoming a good area to go into. If you have an aptitude for dealing with data and aggregating it, data science can make you a lot of money. Data has always been a big deal to businesses, but it seems there's a bigger emphasis on making it a skillset than there has been in the past.

Hi Steve, thanx for the video. Can I ask your view on something. I learned programming by learning VB which basically taught me how to use the language and how to use visual studio. I learned how to create objects etc and thought this was programming in OOP but recently I discovered Design Patterns and realized this actually teach a person how to program properly. I which I discovered this earlier. My question is. These patterns seems to be very old. Are they still relevant in 2020 and how should a person approach learning them?

Hello Steve, surely i really appriciate that you dont play music in your videos, come up with nasty talk or talk trash about people or certain groups. you stay always on content. even your programmin made EZ intro at the begining at the video was just great, not to much and not to less. I am really inrerested in becomming a developer but i sometimes really need somone i can straightly ask my questions. so my question to you is now, whether there is a messenger or a way i can chat with developers directly. thanks alot best wishes
