I Totally agree and I can even add an evident seventh reason: The life of the pipe irrigation line can be extended to three or more years as it is not degradated by the effect of direct sun exposition. That is a considerable saving of money. Congrats and best regards from Spain!

Great tips! I garden in raised beds due to rocky and clay soil. I would like to invest in your drip system yet accessing each bed could be a challenge - do you all have a retro type of kit or something for this situation? Your channel is awesome - look forward to new videos. Thanks!
@gardeningwithhoss

You would need to just run the mainline tubing from bed to bed along the ground. I'd bury it so it was out of the way. Each raised bed layout can be different, that's why we won't have a raised bed drip kit. But it can be done. I'd recommend purchase our drip kit and then you'll be able to see what additional fittings you may need running from bed to bed.

Great video! All 6 points make perfect sense, however if the tubing is buried won't the water holes get clogged? Also do you want the tubing to be stuck in the root system? I am using my drip irrigation for ficus and some plants. So my question is 1. How deep should I bury the tubing ? 2. I am sure the landscaper installed the cheapest tubing. Can I still bury this? Thank you in advance for your help.
@gardeningwithhoss

It can be buried up to 6" deep -- and no it won't clog. The plant roots will just grow around it. This is more designed for rows. Not sure it would work as well in a landscaping situation.

It can be buried up to 6" deep. We usually put ours about 3-4" deep. For beets, put the transplant or seed on top of the tape. For tomatoes, put the root ball underneath the tape so the stem sits beside the emitter.
