For maps, I’ve recently gotten on DungeonDraft (for battle maps) and WonderDraft (for world maps). The beautiful art style with simple & intuitive controls, plus only a one time fee was a huge draw 👍 also if you don’t like the art style, there’s a big community of people making assets that can be upload and used on the apps

For worldbuilding and keeping track of information about the world NPC, places, and maps, I use World anvil. For world map-making, I use Wonderdraft and it cost £22.96/$29.99. One-off payment. For battle maps, I use Dungeondraft and it cost £15.30/$19.99. One-off payment. Just go check out the Wonderdraft and Dungeondraft Reddit to see what awesome maps people can make. :) Great video by the way and plus it nice to hear what other tools are out there. Oh, one more thing been thinking of using Townscaper for city and town maps, it only cost £4.79 so nice cheap for what it does.

I'd really love a one-off payment version of World Anvil. Word Anvil does have one-pff payments for their two top tier plans, but they're expensive AF.

I cannot believe that Azgaar's Fantasy Map Generator wasn't mentioned. It's the best free overworld map generator in existence. You can set all the parameters for your overworld map, how many countries there are, etc., and it generates it all, including religions and cultures. It also integrates with the free Medieval Fantasy City Generator so when you click on a city in your Azgaar map it will create a city map based on the parameters passed from your Azgaar map. Azgaar: azgaar.github.io/Fantasy-Map-Generator/ MFCG: fantasycities.watabou.ru/ Dungeon Painter Studio is great for making interior/city maps. It's got some stuff being added for overworld mapmaking, but where it shines is interiors. They're working on version 2.0 which is supposed to be coming this summer, which will directly compete with DungeonFog. Considering it's $15 and it's only being developed by one guy, it's really impressive. store.steampowered.com/app/592260/Dungeon_Painter_Studio/ Padlet is a great, free shareable chat/timeline/note-taking website. www.padlet.com Last but not least, Scabard is a cheaper, more-intuitive version of World Anvil. It's definitely not as pretty, but it's much better from a usability standpoint. www.scabard.com

Personal opinion: Drop Inkarnate, use Wonderdraft it is leagues better, and way better for map creation and getting it done fast via sliders. Also subscription free unlike Inkarnate, purchase it once have it for life.

I’m a new dm who is currently building a homebrew setting and I’ve found that Trello is another really helpful organization tool. It uses different information cards that you can group together and build off of each other. It’s helped a lot with organizing my Pantheon and government systems. I’m looking forward to trying some of these out too!

I use Chronica for running my games. It's like a more basic, but much more friendlier version of World Anvil. It's great for planning out campaigns/sessions, while also being useful for players to see all the people and places they've encountered. The free version has all the important features with the cheap sub giving you more storage and a few other bells and whistles. I highly recommend people have a look at it.

I kinda wish there was a tool that allowed you to make your own homebrew document in the likeness of dnd 5e books. including fonts, page looks, tables, and everything else. The closest program I know of is Homebrewery and I don't particularly like it because of the steep learning curve to using it.

If Fandom (ya know, the guys who OWN D&D Beyond) would allow you to create a private wikia account you wouldn't need World Anvil or Campfire....hell, there's no reason that DDB shouldn't replicate ALL of this functionality in house....but then again, this is the same company who still can't figure out how to add the Variant Rules UA to their site, so maybe I'm expecting too much.

Not a D&D player nor a DM, but I have heard of World Anvil and I think I have one too. Yet from what I know BLM is a Marxist organization that doesn't really care about who they claim to support. So it's no shocker that people are tired of Marxists invading entertainment and such. Politics and entertainment should never mix unless for a parody that mocks politics.
@zacharygadzinski3147

@@SquatBenchDeadlift455 agreed. If we can have Marxist ideology become illegal that would help. Not to mention hiring people based on skill and merit. Do that and companies would have a more diverse array of workers versus the bigoted identity politics bullcrap.
