Everything looks really yummy, and especially cost-performance wise seems really great. Plus the option for a very affordable unagi bento is so cool! I had no idea Don Quijote even had bentos! I especially liked the jumbo karaage, chicken katsu curry and also the noriben (yes rather underrated but always a classic). Btw Maiko's eye make up and t-shirt went really well together ✨💕

As a Japanese I don't want you guys to believe these are normal Japanese food. No way. These are fast food or cheep food if not junk food. The food in Don Quixote or convenience store is considered low quality food in Japan. You guys might believe Ramen or Sushi is everyday food in Japan. Nope. Many people eat them even not once a month. Standard Japanese meal is Washoku or a set menu called Teishoku.

I live in Tokyo 1965--1967. You can't believe how many veggies the Japanese pickle. I am not talking like American style pickles. I use to get their famous wilted Spinach salad, some new kind veggies pickles, take them home and make rice. Then rice into a soba bowl, veggies and spinach on top and a good dash of soy sauce. Then half way through add a hot green tea and make soup. Japanese are the foodies of Asia is my opinion.

I never seen a grocery store in Don Quijote, but I've never been to one in Tokyo. However my grocery store Matsumoto has pretty much the same selection for great prices. At like 9pm they slash the prices of things like onigiri to 53yen, that is a steal.

Hello Paolo, like always I’m enjoying your videos, is there any way you can make some videos on what is going on for the olympics 2020 in japan, what venues are being built, I’ve been once to japan, Osaka and Kyoto, what I mean to say what would make me as a tourist less afraid to go to Japan because of the language barrier, like myself I bet there’s thousands of people waiting to see what is going on in preparation for this amazing Olympic Games, many blessings my friend to you and your girlfriend, you have the most amazing sidekick God could ever give you, hope all is well 😃
