In addition to Wolf of Wall Street, Social Network, One movie I'd really add is Jerry McGuire. For two reasons: failure when everything is going bad is one thing but when you have everything and lose it all, is totally another. It shows the power of 1. All you need is to start from 1, 1 project, 1 client, 1 target and do a really good job with that client and that gets the ball rolling. Second what ever you do you have to do it from the heart and it will show you the money.

The Pursuit of Happiness it the worst movie that any entrepreneur could watch. Do you seriously think that without any previous preparation, working almost all day and also caring a child you can win 20 people that most of them they have been preparing himself all his life to attend at that position and that they have things much more settled out than you in her personal life and that will be able to study and work twice as you it's a good idea? And if you lose the position you win nothing at all? I call that an enourmous irrational risk, the quantity that you can loose is not worth it at all if you compare it with what you can win if you think coldly. I'm not against taking risks, but always calculated risks. That movie puts the idea in your brain that you can take irrational risks like that and succeed, and maybe you can one time, but eventually you'll meet the reality. Also, why the fuck the machines didn't sell before if they were expensive and then they sell ? Cause he tries harder? That gives you the idea that you can sell a product that people not want trying harder and you can't. If you didn't sell a cocacola can for 5 dollars why would you do it when you are more hungry? It's still 5 dollars, nobody want's it. If he made something better or addressed the selling part different and therefore succeded he would give a different message, but he doesn''t, so the message is garbage. The message of keep trying is good, but the problem is that it says keep trying irrationally during all the film.

The problem with this movie is the same with Homeless To Harvard. The idea that anyone can do what these people did is popular but wrong. Both of these movies was based on a true story about VERY special people with vastly superior IQ's to 99 percent of us. Also, the character in this movie(in the true story) became homeless in the first place due to speed addiction. It's a challenge to crawl up from that but it CAN be done when you are a genius who fixes the problem.

Evan, Thank you for the inspiration, and movies/music is a big influence on me. I'm partial to Any Given Sunday, as I was in the room (as an extra) when Al Pacino gave the speech. I do love Brad Pitt's message in Moneyball. People always tell me I have to solve the problem like other people have in the past. I used to explain that I could not solve a problem the way others have b/c my skills and resources aren't the same. I believe Pitt hit the nail on the head with his comment..."Then wait the f*** are we talking about, man!" Sometimes you have to blaze a trail first then let others marvel at how you did it.

Evan - great pics and thank you!...two more to see about turning the impossible into the possible which entrepreneurs routinely must accomplish: Man on Wire about Phillipe Petit who in the early '70's famously broke into the World Trade Center Towers and in the middle of the night with his small team was able to run a cable between the two towers... at about 7:30 AM the next morning he performed a high wire act (including laying down on the wire) for over 40 minutes before the astonished onlookers below!! truly a work of the highest art. Also, When We Were Kings about Muhammad Ali's most astonishing upset over George Foreman in Zaire - Ali was rated by ESPN as the greatest athlete of all time - to me, this film explains why.

Rocky Balboa. For two things. 1) that cult interaction between Rocky and his son - life is not about how much you can hit, but it's about how much you can get hit and keep moving forward. 2) the larger message from the movie that even if new challenges come up, you should play with conviction and to your strengths, and you shall win over.

Wow congratulations Evan never before thought of them as inspirational for entrepreneur. I just thought they were for life in general. I have watched every single one of them even before I saw your video. I would like to add Soñador(Dreamer) it with Kurt Russell and Dakota Fanning when a horse breaks its leg and will be put down Kurt's character aked for him as exchange for the back paid the own own him plus the cash he had in him. Who he gives to his daughter. Then there is the Japanise anima Kuno very heart warming. I am Sam he may not get rich monetary but his drive and determination to keep daughter by his side are priceless. The Buck List with Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman the scene in the broadroom are impeccable how Jack character take ownership and pride of the way he has accomplished in running the smooth system in the hospital industry. Oh almost forgot Big with Tom Hanks'

Keep in mind that movies based on real people, and the story you see on screen has been grossly altered and revised to be more entertaining, not factual. Even though the movie and story may be inspiring and maintain the basic characterization of the person it's about; all the scenes, dialogue and characters portrayed in the film are almost entirely fictitious. Check out the documentary called Triumph of the Nerds, it's told in first person by Steve Jobs, Bill Gates, Wozniack, Steve Balmer, Paul Allen and Larry Ellison, themselves. Don't let Hollywood directors tell you their contrived version of history.
