Glad you are enjoying your W800, I have a 2022 W800 in red with the black side panels just like yours. It was my choice when returning to motorcycling after being away from it for 40 years and I had a hard time finding one in stock any where near me. I picked it up on my 68th birthday and love it for all the same reasons you mentioned and then some. The torque characteristics of the engine are unmatched. The low end grunt makes it a treat to drive in traffic and has enough umph when pushed into the higher rpms for overtaking or freeway driving. It has a long stroke engine that gives it great low rpm behavior. I can pull away at an idle without touching the throttle. It pulls like a tractor at low rpms but still revs freely when you need it to. It never fails to bring the attention of on lookers where ever I go with it. In the 2 years I have owned it I have not seen another one on the road so people don't know what it is. Happy motoring: Bob in Ottawa Canada

What about the 7 things you don't like about the W800? I'm thinking of buying one, but I'm afraid it's not stiff enough in corners. And what do you think of the ground clearance? Enough? I have the opportunity to buy a new 2023 W800. There's a lot of talk on the forums about the need to change the rear suspension. And also to harden the fork suspension. I'm 60 now and I've had lots of different bikes, like a Harley, Yamaha Vmax, Ducati 916, SS900, 900 Mostro. But it's true that I've always loved riding my 1975 Norton Commando 850 roadster MK3. Thanks in advance for your comments....

The ground clearance is terrible! Is that a concern this type of bike is definately not for you. It’s very much a nice trundle on country roads but can easily cope with motorway speeds.

W800 looks like a real nice bike to own! Is it powerful enough? I seen one today at a dealership! Really nice and cool red one!

It’s looks great in the red. And as for power. That depends what you have come from. It’s no race bike. It rides well on main roads. I also use it on motorways. It keeps up with speeds easy and more. But how fast can anyone tolerate winds even on a still day!!

@@newmotorcycleguy My W800 is very happy at 120kph (75mph) on the four lane highways. It's not a 1000lb cruiser but it is up to the task with plenty of power to spare. It's only turning 4200 rpm at 75mph. I have the Dart fly screen on mine also and it helps keep the blast off your chest at higher speeds but the helmet still get the wind. Less tiring without the wind in your chest. I saw a video of a W800 on the Autobahn and it managed to bury the speedometer. You don't need 100+ horse power to break the speed limit.

Love the bike, and want one but holy cow buddy, hope you have more room splitting traffic than it looks like you have. Me? I think I'd have been to chicken to make a single pass you made. :-/

Lane splitting is not legal here in Canada. We don't have as many motorcycles per capita due to our winter climate and the distances between cities etc. so they don't pass progressive laws that benefit motorcyclists. We are second class citizens on the roads. Because motorcycles are not seen on the roads all year the other motorists forget that they exist and even when they see you they drive like your not even there because their minds only recognize cars, tucks and busses as objects to avoid. We don't exist in their subconscious minds. I once had a women do the shoulder check, looked right at me and pulled over into my lane anyway. She was not intentionally trying to kill me but her mind was not conditioned to perceive a motorcycle as a danger. There are more motorcycles and for all year on the roads in the UK so this phenomena may not be as prevalent.
