Technically, it's zero gears😅, since it's not gears, but a CVT

I find the steering wheel flippers useful. With the left you can shift down and by doing so you will be braking on the engine so saving your brakes. I also use them when driving in the mountains. It really is advisable to prevent overheated discs and warping them. Unfortunately it happened to me and thats $1000.....I agree with the sat nav....usually use google maps on my phone with sound thru blutooth on the speakers. Other than that I love this car, esp the V6. The car is also very silent. My president line also has sport+ with stiffer suspension than eco mode which is more comfortable. But for fast cornering sport+ is great.

Yes absolutely! They are totally useful when going down the steep mountain grades if you engine brake by downshifting.

Like the previous model, the trunk have soft close, just put the gate gently and it will close softly. You dont need to slame the trunk. The transmission is a 2 stage gearing epicycloidal, not a classic cvt.

This does not have the power lift trunk and therefore I don't believe it to have soft close. The doors are not soft close either like a 5 Series BMW has.

Yes it is. The technology shows it age but it still drives stout like I imagine it did when it was new 10 years and 100,000 miles ago!

Press Auto on the AC control area and that will turn on AC. You have buttons for AC. Then, head out to Lexus dealership and trade it in for an ES. The suspension you don’t like? Has variable dampening control. That in the background ECT? Has an additional rear differential that has additional upkeep, since it is an extra part. You and your GS deserve much better than each other, time to move on.

I do NOT like that single speed either lol. You may want to trade it in for an ES my guy.

I had an ES300h for a short time right before this GS450h! It was FWD, a 4-cyl with the same CVT (I believe), it had soft suspension (not sporty), and was just a 4-cyl instead of this mighty 8 cylinder. Hybrid means you get the amazing fuel mileage, but it also means that you HAVE to deal with that CVT.

Is there lots of noise while driving on a highway 75+? Seen many videos and it seems that the tires and the outside noise is so noticeable!
@KylesCarVlog
6 ай бұрын
I did personally feel that the interior noise when on the freeway was more noticeable than the ES300h I had, but I believe that is due to the stiffer tires and sportier suspension. It is still a great car, and the noise isolation is a 7.5/10 compared to other vehicles I’ve owned!

You said this car has a firm Suspension. Is this comparable to a german car? Because japanese cars tend to have a very smooth one

Yes. Compared to a 5 series BMW or a 1970s American Land Yacht. It’s great for a sporty driving dynamic!

Absolutely (I can compare it to a Mercedes with an AMG+ packet). It is great - smooth and elastic, still firm enough to have full control in turns or high-speed overtakes. And in F-sport edition there is even more - the modes switch can make it even more stiff and sporty (Sport+ mode), as well as a steering wheel gets heavier and engine works in a race mode. Also, F-sport (or any edition,. not sure about that) has rear wheels turning too, for about 1 or 2 degrees, to get better control of the car on the road

I find criticisms/problems with every vehicle I test, there is no such thing as perfect. Whether it’s Japanese, American, French, British, or German.
