It amazes me how people read multiple series at the same time. I always feel the urge to finish a series at fast as possible...

NYC libraries closed today until at least Marc 31. I only found out yesterday and when I went to pick up some books lots of people were there taking out a ton of books for the duration. NYC libraries are Manhattan, the Bronx and Staten Island. I don't know what's happening in Queens and Brooklyn.

I don't know if you've heard of the following series or not, but given that Fantasy is your favourite genre, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND ATTEMPTING Steven Erikson's "The Malazan Book Of The Fallen". I can't guarantee you'll like it, because it isn't for everyone, but I can say this: Erikson's prose, character development, plot, magic-system, world-building ARE ABSOLUTELY MINDBLOWING in complexity, beauty, depth and scale. I'm 8 Books in, but though I don't understand the story, I'm completely immersed and it's unlike anything I've ever read in Fantasy before. I've also been told that the confusion I'm feeling is normal and that this is a series that demands multiple reads in order to be understood.

Crescent City in a lot of ways is NOT a palette cleanser! I dont want you going into expecting one thing and not liking it because it isn’t that. It deals with a lot of heavy topics and issues and is complex from the beginning. It definitely isn’t like acotar which I would say is something you can read but also skim and will still get the point. If you start skim reading CC you WILL be lost. It’s also a very complex world you’re thrown into which a lot of characters and relationships it takes a minute to memorize. It’s definitely one of Sarah’s best and the last 200 pages were a roller coaster unlike anything else she’s ever written! I hope you enjoy it!

yourestillmycaesar “The non-fiction novel is a literary genre which, broadly speaking, depicts real historical figures and actual events woven together with fictitious conversations and uses the storytelling techniques of fiction. The non-fiction novel is an otherwise loosely defined and flexible genre.” I copied that from google.
