Good news, I got the combo off in game 2! In game 3, I just wanted to let my opponent know that he was playing Apocalymon's effect wrong. Things got heated- we were moving on from it, but then, I got frustrated with how he was talking to me and I called a judge. I did not fully explain correctly since I did not have the card in front of me: Apocalymon's [End of Turn] effect is not a "By doing [X], perform [Y]." effect. It is a "By doing [X], perform [Y]. Then perform [Z]." effect. Same ruling applies, but its an effect activated by paying a cost and then getting the rest of the effects. The judge (unfortunately) gave us an incorrect ruling. I asked if they had checked the official ruling, but the question was dodged. The judge checked with the head judge and we got the same incorrect ruling. I had already decided that if we got an incorrect ruling, that I would concede on the spot, since I was getting frustrated with playing against my opponent at this point, and I really did not want to continue playing, especially after being "proved" that he was right. The judges ended up having a meeting after the round and the judge who went over to my table apologized, saying that they found the correct ruling and that I actually was right after all and that they had made a bad call. I explained to him that it was no problem, I was going to drop after Round 3 anyways and I had just wanted to let my opponent know the correct way that the effect works. I just got so frustrated with my opponent, that I just wanted a judge to confirm what I was saying to my opponent so that he would know in the future, and though I was slightly frustrated with the incorrect ruling, I was just annoyed by my opponent.
