As a school OT I find this so helpful and relevant! I have seen so much progress since switching to a top-down model of treatment and I want all OTs to see this video. Thank you!!!

This is great! I have learnt from my kiddo that it’s challenging for him to translate the fine motor skills to perform the actual task. He is learning piano right now, and I know that he needs more strength and flexibility, but also needs to practice on the keyboard, I was wondering about this exact thing. This is so informative and helpful! Thank you 🙏

My autism kid still wears diaper..she's 7 yo and i still can't find a video that successfully make my daughter understand what i tried to teach her when she wants to pass her stool. Can you make a video tips about this?

Thank you , I like this channel, I am OT in Rwanda , I like to use top down approach, but I would like to ask you question, top down approach always can be applicaple to all Pediatric OT clients? Especially for all kids with cerebral palsy ? or some time may not be apllicable ?

Hi there and welcome!! My apologies for the delay. Top-down is definitely my preferred approach, as it's so holistic & considers a child's overall participation and functional goals first, then works down to address specific underlying skills. That being said, a top-down approach may need to be complemented with a bottom-up approach, focusing on specific foundational skills. The applicability can vary based on the individual needs and challenges of each child. Let me know if you have any other questions and again thank you for visiting!! -Dana
