1. Shri Krishna Janmasthan Temple
At a distance of 3.3 km from Mathura Junction Railway Station
Bhagwan Krishna Janmasthan Temple is a Hindu temples in Mallapura, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh. This temple is built where Hindu deity Krishna was born.
No Entry Fee.
2. Birla Temple / Gita Mandir
At a distance of 6.5 km from Mathura Junction Railway Station, Gita Mandir, also known as Birla Mandir is located on the outskirts of Mathura, on the Vrindavan - Mathura road. It is one of the most popular destinations of Mathura frequented by pilgrims and leisure tourists alike.
The presiding deity of the shrine is Lord Lakshmi Narayan. Gita Mandir was built by Jugal Kishore Birla, the famous Birla group in memory of his parents and all the 18 chapters of Bhagavad Gita are written on the pillars of this temple.
No Entry Fee.
VRINDAVAN main attraction places
1. Nidhivan is the Land of Krishna, Vrindavan is a place full of mystery. If the devotees and locals are to be believed, not only Lord Krishna visits this place but he also conducts his Ras Leela every single night here.
after the evening Aarti at 7pm, the doors of Nidhivan shut down for the devotees as well as priests. Even it is believed, the animals and birds that are sighted here all through the day also leave the premises in the evening. Certainly, there is something about Nidhivan that is yet to be revealed and to be understood. Since, no one is allowed in the premises post evening aarti.
There have been incidents that even the premises of Nidhivan is vacated in the evening, some have gone a bit far and decided to remain hidden to watch the mysterious Ras Leela. Unfortunately, those who have attempted such a thing have lost their sight, speech or even worse mental soundness.
INSIDE NIDHIVAN
Rang Mahal
Inside Nidhivan, there is a little temple called Rang Mahal or shringar-ghar of Radha Rani. According to people, Krishna visits here every night and adorn Radha with his own hands. You will see a bed inside and several ornaments and makeup products close to the bed.
The temple shuts down every day at 5 PM precisely, so make sure you visit before that if you want to witness the beauty of the place.
2. Shahji Temple/ tede khambe ka mandir
Shahji temple also known as Tede Khambe wala Mandir due to its exquisite spiral pillars is located near Nidhivan.
3.Nand Mahal/Bhagwan Krishna House
bhagwan krishna use to live here.
4. Keshi Ghat
keshighat is the main ghat of vrindavan and one of the most significant worshipping place in vrindavan. it is only ghat which is still visible as remaining part of ghat tradition in vrindavan.It was built by queen of bharatpur laxmi devi in late 17th century in a rajasthani architectural style. their are many small but ancient temples are situated on ghats.In dwapara yuga lord krishna killad the keshi demon here. keshi was a gigantic horse demon sent by kansa.
