Lembas was a total life saver... Literally. Full health and hunger is insane, built a base next to the special ingredient (name escapes me) for this exact reason. Kept hearing Legolas in my head lol "Lembas; one small bite is enough to fill the stomach of a grown man"

That's a great spot for a base! Lembas is a pain to farm if you have to run back and forth.

If you throw 8 food on the pit you can leave the world when it's at 1 second. When you log back in the food is still on the pit and fully cooked so you can pick it up and store it without having to eat it. You can teleport with the food in your inventory and eat it after the TP so you are fully buffed when you get to the fight.

Fight poison and shadow orcs with a one-handed weapon and shield. They can't poison or curse you if you block with a shield, and you don't even need to be facing the direction of the enemy to block as long your shield is up.

I had wondered about that! I go sword and board and Dustin goes 2-handed. He would get poisoned and I don't. Thanks!

instead of carrying all of that to constantly make new bases just drop campfire and mapstone to teleport back to main base whenever you want then just destroy the campsite and mapstone when your done if you dont want it as a marker. The mapstones can be used when your even surrounded if you click fast enough not to die, damage wont interrupt the menu.

That's a solid option. You still need the resources for the campfire and mapstone, but that isn't much compared to a full hearth, beds, a meal table, and the mapstone.

Most times i find it easier to make a map marker and just teleport back to my main base too offload and repair, destroying the map marker as i come back through. I never sleep from my main base because thats where all my best food ingredients are.

Very good video. Me and my so figured most of the tips on our own, but fery useful video nonetheless. I would add: look for recipes with the sun or moon symbols and prioritize those while eating, they will give a temporary bonus. I was saved from a curse by a regeneration factor.

Thanks! We didn't notice sun and moon icons next to recipes. Was that part of a recent update?

Here I am for great tips being provided... to suddenly spot the GREATEST THING that I've completely missed and now facepalming about: Building a huge line of pallets along the walls at head height 😲 Completely genius space-saving move that I hadn't even considered. Thank you VERY much for this, and I'm looking forward to my renovations! 😅

Glad you got a bonus tip out of the deal! Lol we spent a whole gaming session off-stream to renovate our main base. So helpful for efficient growth!

As it happened to me yesterday, as a new player, my tip would be to hord your stuff somewhere else than you are currently exploring, maybe a 2nd floor that can only be reached by jumping. On normal difficulty I was raided by like 15 orc, goblins and Urukais(?) (in Moria) and they literally destroyed my whole base while 3 Urukais kept me busy in front of the outpost. In that process I completely lost all of my gems, metal bars and coins that I stored in a chest next to the smith. I lost 3 black gems this way :'( besides probably 2 stacks of iron, steel, copper and like 10 bronze bars. I just wanted to upgrade some stuff when I got raided. While most of the stuff from destroyed items was still there, none of the gems, metal bars and coins was there. Some statues were also missing, but as I have plenty of them, this loss didn't hurt that much. As a new player I find it a bit strange that when I get hit by something I lose like 20-25% durability on my armor and that raids consist of 15ish mobs that you can't really kite and they will literally surround you so that you can't even block all their attacks. Most of the mobs literally require like 4-5 hits with the powerd-up attack or even more and even more with just simple attacks (at least with the gear that I have). After bashing 1 or 2 times I'm literally out of stamina and need to let loose of the block or refrain from attacks to charge up my energy bar again. Sure, this game is probably meant to be played in a group of friends, but like in Enshrouded Devs seem to scale the game for multiplayers and forget somehow about the single players. Oh, and is there a way to change the mouse sensitivity somehow in game? It is way, way to strong to a degree where the slightest change of my mouse result in a fast change of my view and I literally get sick and develop a head ache after some time of playing.

We understand the frustration! We finally got sick of the combat glitches (blocking would often not work on the first click, auto targeting would pull us away from the enemy we were fighting, etc) and stopped playing. Too much grinding for resources end game.

Personally I went back after beating the game and built up my first base and then built up my final base to be forts are either door just for story elements. I ended the game with three big bases that I used as major city outposts style forts.

Good call! We set up a lot of outposts, but have only hoarded materials in the mines. We'll probably build a bigger base somewhere else if we find reason to.

@@truedadmateria I ended up turning the whole area near Balins tomb into a major area by adding in more harths and built a throne for Durin in the middle area.

i stick with cram, since lembas needs that blessing plant which is rare af to find
@truedadmateria

Yeah, cram is a solid backup. If you set up a map stone near the elbereth's blessing tree in the Elven Quarters, you can farm it and the blooms quickly, but I often just carried a bunch of salted meat. Doesn't help with exhaustion, but knocked out hunger reasonably well.
