Playing another weapon is definitely a good one. Back in World before we even knew about Iceborne, that's when I started to learn Hunting Horn.

I really want to keep playing sunbreak. I've loved every moment of Rise and Sunbreak, even the "annoying" bits, the narwa farming, the rampage farming, the apex fights not giving us hardly any rewards, grinding out anomaly levels early before we really had any reason to do so. But my problem now is that all my friends have fallen off. I've put over 1000 hrs into Sunrise as a whole and none of my friends want anything to do with the game anymore. So, even tho I love it, and kinda want to play more, my personal motivation has kinda dried up. Tho most of my hours were solo anyways. I dunno. Might get back to it at some point. I've got some builds I never went back to that could prolly use updating and it'd be fun to try them on some new weapons maybe.

I understand that. I have friends just like that. They played while the game was popular and getting updates. After the final update most everyone moved on to other games if they didn't already moved on. The ones who do pop in just play solo most of the time. It does get hard to stay motivated to play when your friends moved on to other games or playing solo.

10. Even after 7 generations, I'm still not comfortable with Great Sword (and Charge Blade) and tried to learn it while balancing out my type usage in High Rank (Dual Blades were just the correct weapon type to finish High Rank Rise). It would have been excellent if they retroactively put the new Switch Skills in Sunbreak into High Rank, like how they added the Clutch Claw in base World, because they fix just about every issue each weapon type has. 7. I use full sets in every game, except for Monster Hunter, where it was just better to wear the Silver/Dark Metal/Pink Metal Boots for the stats. It was truly perfection how they brought them back for Generations Ultimate. 🥰 Now if only they would patch in single player scaling... 😑 6. I've been 100%ing the game since launch, off and on, one quest tier at a time (still on M5 right now, Shagaru Magala takes forever in Sunbreak), and while it's the most rewarding way to experience the game, it's obvious they don't want you to do it this way, as you're meant to speedrun the main story for all of the QoL feature unlocks, and just get a high rarity weapon to take minutes off of every Quest when you go back to _actually_ finish stuff. It's my biggest criticism of the franchise. 2. It seems like no one wanted to do this in Iceborne either, because it's a rare Steam achievement to get any photographs. 😂 There's a bunch that are going to be tedious to get better shots of, but it's incredibly easy completion. They really messed up in Iceborne by having the limited-time Event Quests (and I don't mean cycling events-which was also a *major* mistake, as no one liked it in Monster Hunter, or Monster Hunter Tri). Not being able to play the Event Quests to get the Artemis set or the Assassin's Hood objectively makes each new playthrough less fun, as the Assassin's Hood is undoubtedly the best Specialized Tool in the game.

endgame=special investigations ( you get one after clearing a LV300 quest BUT only as the poster of the quest ) monsters get their full potential from LV 270 with added moves and range so the fun starts at LV 270 try a 2nd weapon if the road is long there MH is designed to be replayed i don`t think P.Malzy and Velkhana get more health as part of Spec Inv but they feel great anyway

The arena, what makes me realize there’s weapons I absolutely suck at 😂
@Unpopular_Duality.

I loved everything you said here! 😍🤣😂 The arena mastery badge over my character is what keeps me playing. Having to master or be highly competent with all 14 weapons is a challenge not for the weak. My personal goal is to use all 14 weapons at least 500 times in quests before I link up with others to challenge the arena. True monster hunter prowess in my opinion is S ranking all arena quests, along with carrying noobs to S rank just by helping them out in the arena. The arena bug bit me in world and wouldn't let go. I met a arena player in base rise that did that with me and I want to return that energy in the community to my best abilities. I'm not a formal speed runner but I love the arena to no end because it forces players out of their comfort zone to engage monsters. I've already completed the crown hunting except for a couple of the dlc monsters. The arena is what I am working towards now. The percentage was 3 percent in base rise now it is up to 6. I was getting most crowns by passively playing solo in sunbreak until I just made myself play multiplayer to finish the story after early title updates. Your videos on crown hunting really helped me a lot even with sunbreak 👍🏾👍🏾 I just wanna see Alatreon in the next monster hunter game. Me and him have unfinished business!!

Also another thing for completionist are the badge of honors! You get them by doing certain tasks ranging from defeating the final boss of base rise to defeating 30 Different Special Investigation Monsters. There are a total of 16 and are not counted in achievements but I see it as one of my goals besides doing all achievements for MHR Sunbreak. Happy Hunting!

My bare minimum for "completing a MH game" is also finishing every single quest. In fact, I'd finish all quests before fighting the true final boss in every MH game. MR999/HR999 kinda goes along with the special research quests collecting, talisman farming, mastering every weapon class, and farming resources for all your builds. Like by the time you're done with all those mentioned above, your HR and MR will already be far pass 999 or at least close to 999. Crown hunting and trophy collecting is what I'm trying to do now along with photos for all monsters. I'm trying to capture funny moments for all monsters so my hunter note is filled with silly interesting photos. I was focusing on speedrunning only the toughest monsters with perfect runs and that sure would got me burnt out from time to time. No, I'm not trying to compete with others' records but only trying to beat my own records. it's challeging and fun. However, it's also great to lay back once in a while to enjoy and appreciate other features that Capcom is offering in the game. I feel like, starting from World, some new MH fans have been complaining about how there's no endgame features for them to continue playing MH. Well, to some degree, yes. MH is not a live-service game as the video already pointed out (excluding frontier). Naturally, you are not suppose to expect a MH game getting major updates every season for years after release. Does that mean you have nothing else to do once you've finished the game? It depends. Every MH game offers you various thing to do other than just finishing the quests. It is up to you to decide if you want to do other things or not. If you are not interested in doing other things then that's also fine. You've played the part you like already, and that's what matters. Go on and play some other games once you think you are done with a MH game and there's nothing else to do. You are always welcome to come back to that MH game whenever you feel like to pick up your weapon of choice and hunt some monsters every once in a while.

I did just about all of these for MHW but didn't have that same urge for this game. Things just didn't seem like they mattered as much in Rise. This game was easy to put down and there's no desire to go back. However, getting my bro to start MHW for the first time and actually excited to revisit that world again.

i stopped playing before amatsu update.. i dont even have any motivation to fight amatsu because it has almost the same mechanic as old amatsu.. Sunbreak really just dry up ur motivation fast.. it may not be an easy game but it does feel less challenging than most MH i've played.. the game only focus on grinding the anomaly lvl higher so u get better monster tu fight but it was a slow and boring progress.. while there is alot of thing u can do in Sunbreak but most of them didnt really matter and it doesn't give any satisfaction of finishing it.. now i went back to play Iceborne and it really just felt way better than Sunbreak even though i already did most thing in it.. somehow killing a single monster in Iceborne is more satisfying than killing 10 monster in Sunbreak.. im not gonna get into why Iceborne is better than Sunbreak because they both has their merit.. but for me personally Sunbreak is a boring repetitive MH while Iceborne is more fun and satisfying MH and i dont have to bother myself grinding that stupid lvl300 anomaly to fully enjoy my game.. i just hope MH6 use Iceborne as it base core gameplay..

@iixxion it's a simple one, I love the grind. Many games have grind. Diablo, destiny, WoW, but none as engaging to me as monster hunter. I can't get enough. I think it's the reason why rise and sunbreak didn't work for me because in rise and sunbreak, I would fight a monster twice and have everything I needed, so I'll just move on

@dnascot it got better, but it felt forced, I remember every other monster hunter I've played, I was grinding early and throughout the game. Rise/sunbreak were just too easy so they added goofy one shot kills that didn't seem right. Idk I can ramble. I just didn't like Rise lol
