Agree. They are both outstanding, but if you want to feel more in a remote place there is more choice in Jasper. Also, the biggest landmarks are less crowded

I concur. Although Banff is spectacular it is over touristed. Jasper was spectacular and a great spot to kick off my journey on the AlCan highway to Alaska. The two provincial parks on the AlCan are simply stunning.

Yoooooooo thank you so much, I almost have a tear writing this. Roadtrip to banff and jasper is a 3 year old dream, and about to realize it in 3 weeks. Its honestly so beautiful it fills me of emotions. Thank you so much for all the tips, makes planning much easier and fun

I enjoyed the video. I have a question and would like to ask. Drone filming is prohibited in national parks, but sometimes drone filming appears in videos. Did you obtain permission? I'm curious how this was filmed.

@@Aritul Hi, We had a great time but I think that a day trip to Banff is too much driving. You might overnight near Lake Louise if that makes sense.

We stayed in the Mountaineer Lodge in Lake Louise. We were happy with the -lace and the breakfast.

I started in Jasper and went south. Such a beautiful area. I would’ve done more hiking if I hadn’t Had a small dog.

Constructive criticism: you sound like you are reading. But great videography, narration totally fit the video. I am thinking about revisiting Jasper & doing the stuff I regret not doing the last time I was there :) Ya Know? I wandered around Banff, Lake Lousie, Lake Moraine & all around there & wandered all the way up to Jasper and then later learned how much I missed :(

When I was a kid in the 70’s our family would go camping at Jasper. One of my cousins was a park warden at the time so we would get to camp at his remote cabin.

Maligne Lake in particular is definitely an epic spot! Canoeing or kayaking the entire length is a special challenge.

Not a dumb question! Yes there are bears, but they don't want to see you more than you don't want to see them. Bring bear spray, and on the trails make noise. You could stick to the more popular trails and lakes that have lots of people for less likely of an encounter.
