My favorite part of the design process is the initial consultation. I just love seeing the relief on clients faces, when they know that I am going to be able to help them. By the end of the consult, most have become excited again and no longer feel overwhelmed.

@@SpaceForEdit yes definitely a nice feeling. I love just seeing that cloud of stress just float away. By the way, you discovering that spider was hilarious and I loved that you didn't edit that part out🤣🤣

I love (almost) every step of the design process but if I had to choose my favourite part it would probably be creating 3D models and renderings. I come from a video game design background and I find I'm most comfortable and productive when I spend hours totally focused on software. It is so rewarding to see my vision come to life in 3D, usually way before the actual design is complete, it keeps me motivated! Presenting clear and detailed visuals of the space and being able to show a real feel for the layout/specialization is always amazing. It's so cool to see the client discover the renderings, navigate them through the 3D space and hear their feedback. My clients are family and friends and they are not paying for the service, so of course, their feedback is very nice ;) But I'm really hoping I can start doing Interior Design professionally in the next couple of years, designing makes me so happy and content Thank you so much for producing such informative content, especially when you're busy with a baby and a career! You're an absolute legend Sintija

Ahh I can see where you're coming from and can definitely relate to you. I'm a big fan of 3D as well 👌 So powerful! And it's an absolute pleasure to be here and share my insights. I might not be a pro and know it all but it's good to know that what I share can help others 🙂🙌

Sintija thank you so much, another invaluable video that really helps Interior Design students like myself. Your content is always on point and super fun to watch, I really appreciate you taking the time to create these. Having a Surface Design background and being such a visual person, my favourite part of the design process is the renderings and actually seeing all the development and thought processes of the concept come to life. Although I haven't had the pleasure of having a paid client yet, family and friends always love seeing the finished projects in 3D!

I’ve had real issues with my clients to the point I’ve almost walked away. No matter how much you make things clear some stubborn and narrow minded people (yes they’re paying a lot of money & it’s their house) sometimes you can’t work with them. There’s no give and take in those situations and that’s happened with me to the point I’ve had to distance myself.

Absolutely 💯💯 if it's not working for you then you have every right to end your services. It is a shame that some wealthy people feel like they can disrespect you in that way

Really enjoyed this video ❤️ I love getting my ideas down for initial design concept and seeing if all those ideas / dimensions actually work in the space as I envisaged . Hardest part for me is finishing / billing when only doing design document and fees not covered for installation of project 🙈

Ahh yeah, making sure the project budget stays as set out originally is a big challenge 💯 I think this improves with time and the more experience you get the more you start to look out for any red flags that might come back and bite you later down the line 👌
