You went above and beyond for this review…drained your battery. 😂😂😂 I love it. I’ve never used one of their products but I watched a comparison video this weekend of about 12 OBD dongles on Tools Tested and the TopDon model was the winner.

Yeah, my battery needs to be replaced anyways… I figured why not 😂. My battery light has been coming on since it’s got colder and I was actually looking at a few different ones and they emailed me. Sometimes things just work out. This was a selfish product review 😂

I was wondering about draining your own battery ( not good for them ) but now I understand why you did not mind doing that. Like Brian say above and beyond.

Neven really thought about these as I have jump cables in my car. But I have had to ask multiple people on occasion before I found one willing to help. I’ll give this some thought

It’s getting more rare to find people. I always help someone, but that doesn’t mean they will help me 😂 I like this option more than anything because when a car is in a parking lot, you sometimes can’t get the two vehicles close enough to do it with cables. I had been looking at a couple and then they emailed me.. sometimes it just works out 👍

Ok I’m done thinking it’s just a no brainer really. Could not find that brand here but ordered myself a very similar one with good reviews on one of our local online stores here in the Netherlands. Bundled it with a makita 18v tire compressor. Just to cover the other big ohh fudge potential. Had a few gift cards left over so why not.

@@MORGANSMaintenance yea I’m the same. Helped a fair few people out with my jump leads. At least 2 in the last 6 months alone. But this is also less hard on your own battery of your own car. It just makes so much sense. Thanks for giving me the idea I appreciate that.

@robholland5925 the battery inflators are great. I have the little M12 and it pumps up everything I need it to. I use it at the house instead of getting out an air hose. You set the PSI, turn it on, and it shuts off when it gets there. I’m sure the Makita does the same.

Yea it has raving reviews and as I’m on the makita platform always have those batteries on hand.

I have a Topdon 2000 and it's been awesome. I've had to use it a few times on a family member's older vehicle that sits unused most of the year. Had to use the boost function the last time but it worked flawlessly.

It seems like a nice unit. I really like it compared to my older/bigger one I got at Lowe’s Thanks for sharing 👍

Great video. I carry an AVAPOW 6000Amp in my diesel pickup (or my tractor), and it works great. However, I would be interested in this for my wife's car or even for my Polaris Ranger. Thanks

These are good things to have for sure… way better than messing with cables in my opinion 👍

Booster packs are a life saver at times. Having one with 12volt out is even better, you should be able to get an adapter with a 12v barrel (5.5mm?) connecter on one end and a standard female cigarette to run auto accessories like a pump or car jack, etc.

Yeah I will look into it. I had a huge one that jumped, had some AC plugs and an air compressor.. but it was like packing a truck battery. I hated using it. Ever since I got the M12 inflator and a M18 Top Off, I have no need for those features. I like the size of this one. Appreciate the tip 👍

It is incredible the amount of power they have managed to pack into these small jump start units. I have never dealt with Topdon direct but did purchase their phone based thermal imaging camera and it has been okay, has pros and cons compared to the Flir unit I have had a while now.

They asked me about sending me a Thermal Imaging Camera as well. I haven’t decided yet. I would probably ask for the stand alone unit if I was going to get one

It was still showing 100%.. so I guess it was less than 25% since it didn’t loose enough for the bars to drop to 75. Appreciate it 👍

I only have and use jump packs. I think that is the only “safe” way to jump a vehicle these days. Safe because of all the electronics in vehicles these days. I have been told that using jumper cables can mess up some computers in cars. Again, almost any Jump PAC is better than cables! Throw away those cables 😅

Just getting cables from one battery to the next is a pain. Vehicles are rarely parked in a way to make it easy.. I haven’t used cables in a long time 👍

Always a good idea to have one. Although here people are rally helpful. Besides in the cities it costs $15 to get jumpstarted by a taxi. BTW, draining your battery dead (on purpose or by accident) may damage your battery. Usually I change my car batteries every 2-3 years or after the 2nd draining it dead.

Yeah, I’m fixing to replace this one. My lights been coming on as a warning since it’s gotten cold. That’s the only reason I went ahead and did it. I was also looking for a new jump starter for that reason when the company emailed me. This was a selfish review that worked out in my favor 😂 I was hoping my battery held out till I could do the video.

I don’t have that one, so I’m not sure. They look like they have many of the same features. That one has a screen to tell you stuff instead of lights. Would depend on if that’s with more money to someone.

Never a bad thing to have dobt let it out of your sight I'll disappear. I got a low end noco a name brand long term company in jump starters on prime day for $99. I've used it 30+time easy helping stranded people just nice to have. On one job site we had a dead escalator and a dead boon lift f650 (with 3 batteries) jumped them both with a low end model. If they can jump a 8 to 12l diesel cat engine there's not much they won't work on. All that same day one charge and still had a few small cars worth of jumping. Topdon seems to be a new buzz worthy amazon brand but I tend to spend the extra 10 to 20 bucks for the known common brand just in case. You just never know the quality of the cells in amazon brand a through d.

That’s pretty good to jump that. That’s one of the ones I was looking at before they emailed me. You are right, the reason you buy this is so it will work when you need it… it needs to be reliable 👍
