In example 14. Tadashi introduces a torus (T^2), He states that T^2= ∑_2. Is this correct? The genus of T^2 is 1 and has one hole, and if ∑_0=S^2, surely ∑_1=T^2 . I think Dr. Tadashi Tokieda might have confused himself whilst writing on the board. Anyhow, kiitos Tadashi.

Leonard Aukea You are right, that was a mistake of his. (The number n in T^n always refers to the dimension, and g in Sigma_g always refers to the genus.) It should have been T^2 = Sigma_1.
