Another well-done video, my friend. I purchased the California Cobra after the video you made. I am not disappointed.

I didn't know this knife even existed until now. Thank you for this video. This knife has the same intended purpose as Spyderco's Street Beat and Subway Bowie, but with the reverse edge and the improvements of textured scales. The blade being a little staggered from the scales seems like a thoughtful design, too. The reverse edge would be an adjustment for me, but the pull strength you mention makes all the sense in the world.

I watched the video and I learned a lot. I thought about the sheath positions you showed and i tried it with my TOPS MSK 2.5 between the waistband and my belt and it works great. It's comfortable and very easy to access. I like your videos because they are informative and helps me learn new techniques. I have been doing survival preparedness and I do not believe it's tactical fantasy. Either a person is trained and ready for when crap hits the fan, or they're totally unprepared and will not survive if it gets bad. Thank you for what you do.

I really like your videos. The description and features of your knife reviews are accurate and helpful in determining whether it is wise choice to purchase the knife. Furthermore, in many of your tactical knife reviews you include training and possible application's on how the blade could be used in a possible "defensive" encounter. With that being said, one should also consider the "legal" ramifications and justifications if a knife must be deployed in a sef-defense situation. Obviously, a knife is considered a deadly weapon. In all states of the union. Especially, if the alleged incident occurs in a "woke" or liberal state like Washington, Oregon and California. 9 times out of 10. If a knife is involved in an alleged self-defense situation. The district attorney will usually charge the person using the knife . Especially, if there is serious bodily injury or death. I recall about 5 or 6 years ago a self-defense case involving a student named Jarred Ha from Seattle , Washington . Attending, the University of Washington, he was attacked and severely beaten and had his head slammed against a car door all the while trying to get away from his attacked a very large muscular ROTC student attending the same University. To make a very long story short. He deployed a Fox 599 karambit and showed his attacker the knife and told him " Its not worth it". Allegedly, the attacker continued the attack. Jarred Ha , started to use the karambit. Which resulted in a total of 6 slash wounds to the legs, groin and also a partial desembowelment to his attacker. Jarred Ha was criminally charged by the police and also expelled from the University. He took his case to a full jury trial and found Not Guilty. He was reinstated in the University and I believe graduated. It did cost his parents several thousand dollars in legal fees. But he was found innocent. I live in California . Which is very difficult to obtain a CC permit. However, California is not too bad with there knife laws. I am permitted to carry any size folding knife concealed if I want. Any size fixed blade knife or double edged knife can be "open carried". Theoretically, I can legally put a sword on my belt without breaking any laws in most jurisdictions in California! So my normal EDC in my pants pockets consists of one "waved" , Spyderco Yojumbo knife , tactical pen, small Swiss Army knife on "weak" side. On my "strong" side I carry the WE Titanium frame lock "waved" karambit as well as my Spyderco Police model. However, I would not deploy any of these tools unless my first line of defense fails. I legally carry the following self defense tools . Which are in my jacket pockets. Which consists of a Taser pulse + , which has a range of 15' . Additionally, I also carry some of the "nastiest" pepper spray available, called Heatwave. Sold by Defense Wharehouse. There is another KZitem channel that has tested many of the popular pepper sprays by getting deliberately sprayed in the face. According to his tests Heatwave acted the fastest and burned the worst and caused the worst chocking effect than any Pepper Sparay he has personally tested. He also got tazzed with the Taser pulse ÷ . It totally incapacitated him as long as the current was on. He is a big 6' former marine and currently works in a prison as a CO.

Though I carry a knife daily(and most times a firearm) my self-defense techniques and philosophy are not totally geared to the use of a knife(or firearm). In colder months where most people wear layers of clothing, cutting or stabbing the torso is not going to be as successful as in the summer months. However, most times attacking the legs with low line kicks (leg kicks from Muy Thai or Escrima work pretty well). They do take a higher level of skill to execute, but a knife takes skill also. The added benefits of attacking the legs is that many times it allows you to escape because the attacker mobility is slowed down and many times when you attack the legs the attacker drops his hands which makes it easier to strike or cut the upper body.

You still did not review the Tops Felony stop... The Cali. Cobra can be hold in FOUR grips and can do every kind if slash and stab. A normal knife ofers just two grips and limited number of possible slash/stab kinds, a Double edged knife nearly doubles the possibilities. A Double edged REAL PIKAL with the right angle or a Double edged karambit give you endless possibility ‼️ Those "pikal" crep is just a gimmick to pull money from knife addicts. Hold the Felony Stop in icepick grip and look to angle you have for a REAL pikal stab 😉 Be real and honest to yourself man 😉 Its a shame Tops discontinued the SCORPION TAIL‼️ Even if that one was a bit hardcore angle pistol grip but look at this unit and imagine the possibility it offers 😉 THAT is what Im talking about 😉 THERE IS ONLY ONE QUESTION you always have to ask yourself: Would I really bet my life on this fu*kin thing 😉
@411Outdoors

I would bet my life on the unzipper especially if one knew how to use. A lot knife designs try to hover between effectiveness and legality with carry options. That’s why I think it’s important to train with a single edge. Men should fear the Unzipper lest they be unzipped lol

@@411Outdoors btw, I trained a method for ages even I did Not know what pikal is: Just Twist the Blade downside-up and you have a Standard knive to a pikal. But make Sure your handle allows such a grip. Same Idea was Tops El Pionero So I keep my Opinion that pikal is Just Gimmick 😉 The perfekt knive was Not founded yet, so maybe I should make IT finally 😁
