WOW, that is something I have not seen. I did some of those from Fred Meyers a few times and have just been astounded how tender and delicious they were. I seared then baked low and slow. Just the best, Jerry, the best! Always a good show PPL! Thanks for posting.

Thanks Ed, you should definitely get a Sous Vide water circulator. It is a game changer when cooking meats and fish. Thanks for the support!

That’s the nice thing about living here on the coast, best of both worlds! All the fishing you can handle and when you get tired of fish, we do cook ups with friends!

Awesome looking steak Papa Leroy! Wagyu beef is a bucket list cook for me. I've done the burgers but I'm sure it doesn't compare to a steak. Can't wait for the next video. Edward had a happy smile after that bite! 👍🏼

For Ribeyes, try 137F. Breaks down the fat better and makes them really tender.

That looked amazing!! Sous vide is definitely a game changer with those larger cuts of meat. Wall to wall even cooking. The final product looked so good. The sous vide gun looks like a really fun toy as well. I think I need an excuse to pick one of those up 😆. Amazing video Leroy.

Thanks Steve! Never cooked a steak that thick before, but Sous vide is kinda of forgiving. Lol! The gun is also the way I start my charcoal, as to not get that lighter fluid taste.

That looks amazing! Could you get a similar cook on cast iron? 👍😁

I don’t think so, because when cooking with the Sous Vide, it’s even heat from all sides and constant for a long time. Cooking the conventional way searing outside and finishing in the oven would cook outside of steak first instead of last.

Not sure about rare on a ribeye, if anything it should be medium rare, especially on wagyu meat because you’d want to render out more of the fat for a bigger impact on flavour. Great looking steak nonetheless

It could have been cooked at a little higher temp, but I like rare.
