Just made an account so I can comment on this video: Im 100% mexican, living in Monterrey MX and I just wanted to say THANK YOU for doing an authentic mexican salsa, raw ingredients and nothing else. There are plenty of ways to make salsa but this one with tomatillo fresadilla is one of the simple yet tasty (dont be afraid of pepper haha) It has been well known that in my country every state has their own way to prepare/cook typical mexican dishes, so i respect the way you are making tortillas (we dont deep fry them and tortillas in my city are made with white corn). If I could just say something about the meat is that we dont leave it uncooked. But then again, it's all about how you prefer it. I really enjoy watching your videos, already made some recipes from this channel and they are soooo good! Saludos! Caro.

+Carolina Cárdenas do you fry them without oil? and what do you mean by leaving the meat uncooked?

Carolina Cárdenas oh wow!!! What an accurate comment paisana! Se ve que conoces a la perfección la comida y la cultura detrás de un buen taco de carne asada. It is really annoying to see people butchering our beautiful dishes buy I agree with you on this one. THIS WAS GREAT! I actually do love rare meat 😋 Arriba el Norte y que VIVA MEXICO!!!

I've been watching cooking shows and videos since I was 4 all in the pursuit of finding someone who cooked in my most favorite way. And that, friend, is you. I just want to say thank you for being the first TV (KZitem) personality not afraid to stay true to and respect the cultures your recipes are inspired by. And thank you for not Americanizing your dishes to make them less scary or covered in cheap cheese and cream. Furthermore, thank you for epitomizing cooking as an art and an art that can be achieved by anyone. That may have been too deep but I just find your channel so refreshing.

nice vid Frankie. i like to grill my tomatillos and pepers and onion first before I toss them into the blender or food processor. gives it a completely different taste. and i made my friend some salsa and when he asked me how I made it I told him there was cilantro and he was like "i hate cilantro but this is really good" haha. i love how the music goes with the vid man.

Hey Frankie, if I wanted to make batches of the tortillas to have each night for say 5 days, would I be able to make the dough then leave it in the fridge and press it/fry it each day, or would I press/fry them all, then keep the cooked tortillas in the fridge or something? Thanks!
@FrankieCooks

yes, tightly wrapped in plastic should work, you may need to adjust the water content upon retrieval from the fridge AFTER it comes to room temp.

Where are you on flour tortilla? Astonishing as this may seem, I have had some Mexican friends say ok, others think it is heresy. I think it depends on which state in Mexico, but I am curious what you think.

Cilantro...similar to anchovies. People who don't like anchovies in a recipe will say, hey I really like that smokey flavor in your salad dressing...well, then you DO like anchovies afterall, because that's what you're tasting.......lol
