Men throwing the crazy card hurts women who do suffer from mental illness. I had a high school girlfriend who at the time was undiagnosed manic bipolar. I tried telling people that she had issues and no one believed me because "If I had a dollar for every time a man calls his girlfriend crazy..." Because of this she ended up suffering even more because no one would help her seek proper medical attention while everyone tried to twist, enable and gaslight her illness into a sick twisted high school teen drama. Luckily she eventually did get the medical help (after years of destructive behavior and hardcore drugs) and now she has the support and treatments and is happily married with kids. So it did have a happy ending but still, she didn't need to go through all that pain when she needed her friends and family the most.

ladies listen up, if you hookup with a man in a marriage or in a relationship in general, dont believe anything they say ANYTHING (much less about their partner). this person is already cheating on their spouse, if they can look at the "love of their lives" and lie to their faces to cheat, they can lie to anyone about anything.

Then he loudly and in front of his date explains how he can only pay for basically half the bill HOPING it would force her to step in and be like…..ooooh it’s ok, I’ll pick up my half. If he truly didn’t realize he was financially strapped or left his wallet at home he would have sought out the server IN PRIVATE to work out the situation. He wouldn’t have embarrassed himself AND his date in front of god and everyone else within ear shot. I have experienced a very similar situation, only my date didn’t try to pull the….”I didn’t bring enough money/or a single credit card” deal. It was apparent he wasn’t attracted to me in person after spending weeks trying to convince me to give him a shot and let him take me to dinner. After the most awkward date of my life where this clearly disinterested guy wouldn’t even talk to me….I was having to drive the entire conversation, not because I liked him but because we were already there, so why not chat a bit and have a good time….. The pub is clearly closing and he’s sitting in silence so I finally wave down the server to ask for the bill…the bill comes and gets placed between us. It sits and sits and sits….he doesn’t pick it up or even mention it. I finally snatch the bill to figure my half when he finally pipes up with…..”oh, oh….yeah..:: so how do you want to do this??” Pfft. I threw down 30 bucks and walked out

right I kinda got the impression that she was gearing up for a 'my trash ex' story, not a brag. and you can have made a mistake in a certain window of time, and later be completely disgusted WITH YOURSELF, FOR YOURSELF- your feelings don't need to be only to honor others. you don't have to feel bad purely because of the other person. you can think back on something (like a bad relationship) and feel grossed out because of your own actions as well as the other person's. you're allowed to regret.

The walk of 'shame' made me laugh. When we first moved into our house we had a single guy living across the street and a single mom next door. Both were in late 30's early 40's. (Her kids were older teens.) As time went on we'd watch her hanging out at his house (around here people hang out in garages a lot. It's a whole thing). Eventually I'd be up in the morning and watching one of them crossing the street at 6 am to go back home. When they finally told us he was selling his house and moving in with her we wanted to say 'no shit, Sherlock! Never saw that coming!' Sad ending though. They lived together a few years, got engaged, and then 3 weeks before the wedding he came home to find her dead from a stroke. She was 49.

I feel this video was both funny (as all of them are) and a good reinforcement on choices and perspectives. First one makes me happy I don't have a vehicle. Fourth the person made a good recommendation to avoid that drink in case I cross paths with it. Next one that there is benefits to social media to catch awful people, while also allowing people mistreated by their partners to have a platform to tell their story of what happened. Another reminded that is probably good I don't club lol, I prefer sleep as well. For most of these it makes me glad that I make no effort (lack of interest too) in the dating realm so I don't have to deal with any BS. I learned a lot while drinking my morning tea. I'm torn on the date video. I like to go out with friends and on dates but I have always been tight with money so I developed ways to do both. I feel like you can look up restaurant prices beforehand, even if its a first date and you don't know what the date is going to order, you can get an idea of what the prices are so it isn't a surprise when you get there. On the other hand, it was really sweet he offered to do the work himself instead of splitting or putting on his date, who was being an asshole btw. I wouldn't record someone feeling bad and having to ask something potentially embarrassing, if I see that he's genuinely trying to find a solution I would offer to pay my part and then see how things go. Idk I feel like you can decide to not keep seeing the guy but don't add salt to the wound with the recording and making faces.

@Blueskies271

@@spoonfulofsalt i mean even a budget friendly place can be become outrageous if your date orders expensive drinks, finds the priciest item on the menu, and then wants dessert on top of that. I’ve known a couple women who would do that because “if he really wants to keep me, he has to show it.” I never once expected a man to pay for my dinner on a date. I always wanted to pay at least for what I ordered. IF she’s even his date, sitting there and not even offering to pay for at least her half as she sips on her fancy drink, laughs, and records him from her phone is gross.

This is where sexism hurts guys. Why should they have to pay? If he makes more money than his date, yes, he should pay. If they have equal salaries, then it should be dutch or take turns. People should appreciate careful/ sober friends more. While it can be fun, being inebriated has more downsides in the long run. Going out drinking without being safe and prepared is playing with unnecessary risks and danger. I'm a lightweight and enjoy some nights with relaxed drinking and such- but I am also very careful when it comes to make sure there are sober people to drive everyone home. I've known too many people that don't have a good time after a period of partying. I've heard too many deaths due to reckless driving and substance abuse. I get it, feeling different with substances can be fun and great- when done responsibly. No one wants to take care of a drunk friend who reverts into a toddler just because they kept drinking. Sidenote: Mango Tequlia from Mexico is amazing. Stay safe peeps!

The drunk behavior story reminded me of something I was involved with way back in the late 1970's. My friend and I had been to the local tavern and we had heard of a party nearby. Now I am a very moderate drinking but my friend is the sort of person who starts his day off with a half gallon flagon of cheap white wine to kick start his day, and was no stranger to drugs. So he was already drunk before we got to the party, and things progressed from there. I passed my time catching up with an old college friend. Eventually I managed to pull my friend away to go home. He came away with a bottle of tequila and then proceeded to start mixing drinks as I drove. My car stank of tequila for weeks. But wait, there's more. He then asked me to stop at a late night take out shop for what we would call, "greasies". I Immediately told him that I had no money. He still insisted and off we went. we got to the shop and he proceeded to place an order for a huge pile of take out, and I kept saying quite loudly that I had no money. Come the time when the shop owner wanted some payment my friend turned to me expecting me to pay, and I said very forcefully, "I TOLD YOU, I HAVE NO MONEY!" The message finally got through to him. No food. So I drove him home and left him there. But wait, there's more. I go back the next day and he is lamenting that while he was passed out during the night one of his cronies had crawled through his window and, being the generous type, while my friend was oblivious, gave him a hit of heroin. Was my friend concerned that in his drunken state he could have overdosed? NO. He was pissed off that he felt nothing and to him it was a wasted dose. And so passed another weekend. This is the gospel truth, definitely not unusual for my friend.

No, there have always been women (and men) that expect you to pay for their meal on a first date. Depends on who asks who. My now boyfriend asked me to go to a really expensive steak house and I asked him, Just to be clear, are you paying for all of it, or will I paying my share? I knew he could afford it if I got the most expensive thing on the menu, but I just wanted to CMA. He still picks up the tab most of the time, as I make a lot less, but I don't expect it every time. I generally pick something that I can afford unless he insists on 'just get what you want." He's not the romantic type, this is as close as he gets.
