If you listen closely, you'll note that the last note of the song isn't consistent between iterations. It's as if there is no correct final note, or even a correct metered timing for the final note. It's as if he picks that last note at random for each game.

I saw this back in 2008. Ever since I've been looking for Totaka's Song in every game I could. I even dedicated a large portion of my time to searching for this Song in Wii Sports and other games that the song is supposedly in. Just recently I have found the song in Animal Crossing: New Leaf. It obviously wasn't a challenge considering it's triggered the same way in every Animal Crossing game, however I was really proud. Basically, if it weren't for you. I wouldn't have done all this. Come Back!

It is indeed in New Leaf. When DJ K.K. plays in Club LOL every night at 8 PM, he sometimes incorporates Totaka's Song into his music, as well as being one of the songs you can get for your house (if you request him to play it for you on a Saturday night).

I'm fairly certain I've heard the Pikmin hum it in Pikmin 2. NOTE: Link's Awakening was actually built on the "Kaeru No Tame Ni Kane Wa Naru" (the frog game mentioned) engine. Richard is actually from said game (although he isn't the lead character, as people often confuse). So...I guess that was the hint that the music might play in Richard's Frog house (at least for the Japanese people who played it).
