On 31 January 2018, the Moon enters the Earth’s shadow, creating a Total Lunar Eclipse, the first since September of 2015. A “SuperMoon” is a Moon that is full when it is also at or near its closest point in its orbit around Earth. Totally eclipsed Moons are sometimes called “blood Moons” and some people call the second full Moon in a month a “Blue Moon”.
