I was playing Raponse recently with SFO, they have an upgrade i think called "virtue of sympathy" that you can get that allows you to have knight units dismount. Really fun for a more infantry based bretonnia playthrough, thiugh it can be a bugger getting them in position during deployment

Can't get arrow in the back, if you have Chest of Drawers cowering it, this thing also protects from backstabbing, no wonder Questing Knights are so tanky, they have their rear protected and have spare pants in arms reach, in case they fought something scary recently, which happens quite often in Warhammer World. So that's why they retreat: Get in the fight -> lose Morale and Piss/Poop their pants -> run away, changing their pants while on horse -> rally and return to fight.

14:28 same alos in 2 it was a smal portion of it and in the landscape you could see the big fantesy city now in 3 even tho the map is bigger it gives the impretion the city is smaller

I can explain the economy bit easily. When you pull the workers out of the field and factories to die on the field of battle, who the hell is working the fields and factories? But if you bring in the dedicated warriors instead, well they're kinda doing what they've been paid to do aren't they? So keep the workers where they can work, and the killers where they can kill and the economy works! It's like magic isn't it?!

13:45 If they had actually added interesting terrain, defensive structures, inner walls, etc. to the map--along with much larger garrisons--and none of this whack-a-mole, tower-defense nonsense--the bigger siege maps would have been great. They could have done some really cool things, like make faction-specific defensive structures, or change the way weapons teams, mounted units, etc. could engage in siege battles. Instead, CA just took this weird, "let's add this tower-defense, mobile crap in there, make the maps five times bigger, and see what happens" attitude. Big surprise: a lot of people fucking hated it.

Peasant economy is pretty simple to understand; The more poor people you force to fight and die, the less poor people you have to work the fields. Hence the economy takes a hit. Well! They nailed that feudal concept alright. But maaaaaaybe they went a bit overboard xD Bretonnia may well be the richest factions in the game thanks to their fields and peasants. Lore-wise that is just mental xD

Hey MA nice to see u playing Bretonnia! just remember that unless there is an industry resource like gold or iron in the province (region? i always mix the 2 up lol u might want to double check building chain) farms will always be a better choice financially BUT until u unlock higher tier knights u will be limited militarily since u cannot go past peasant cap. if u spam industry economy it wont give u as much money as farms but u can build an early game military that would make daddy khorne blush since going over peasant cap wont nuke ur economy. honestly either way works and up to u regardless! have fun and remember ur vows!!!!!!

Ah, finally someone sharing my opinions on sieges...I go one step further, sieges were never fun in any TW. However ... that might be realistic, as in history pretty sure every general just thought the same about sieges and would have auto-calculated them ...

I wonder if it's possible to just Ignore the Peasant Economy. I know that it has a bit of an Upkeep thing when you go over but it effects Farms as well, What if you just do nothing but Industry
@vargknight
9 ай бұрын
Industry buildings don't give you anywhere near the same amount of income, so it would have a greater effect than just the debuffs from peasant economy. In the long term might not really matter, but early on you would just be severely restricting yourself for no reason

I agree that sieges suck in TWW3. I don't know why they so drastically changed them from 2 to be honest. In TWW2 there was a short enough length of wall for most maps that you could have troops around all of it and made it actually worth defending the walls and gates, you know, like they would do in real life. Some of the most enjoyable battles I had in 2 were those where there was like 4 chaos armies coming at my settlement and you can just hold on defending the walls, moving your troops to different areas as required, again, very much as it would have been in real life. In TWW3, as you say, the cities are too big so you can't do any of that, usually when defending against much greater numbers you are best off just turtling up around the victory point and causing as much damage as possible hoping you get the army losses.

What’s the difference between the Bretonnians and the actual French? The Bretonnians can liberate their capital 👀 (For everything else, there’s Mastercard)
